Re: how to restore the .zip in .zip files

Terrilynne, you need to unhide your file extensions.  I think it is under the personalize settings under folder options.  There are other ways to get to that setting.  When you find the option, I think y to get to that setting.  When you find the option, you check or unchedk it, I forget which.

Are you showing the file extensions for other files?  For example, are you showing the, .txt, .exe, or .docx file extensions for other files or executables?

Just once, I want a username and password prompt to say:  "Close Enough!"

Subject: [TechTalk] how to restore the .zip in .zip files

Hi all,

Somehow, when it was late and I was tired, I somehow managed to change some setting on my computer so that when I download books from BARD, the list doesnt show if the file is a .zip file. It makes figuring out which books are already extracted very confusing. Can anyone tell me the keystrokes to use in Windows 10 with JAWS to return these files to the way they were showing up?

Thanks much,

TerriLynne
