Speaking of personal assistants, I like the idea The problem is, I don't like the concept of always being on line, on/in the cloud, and I always think of the term :in the net" as compared to "on the net".. I have nothing to hide, I just don't like the edea of leaving all those trails for "them/they" to follow. I doubt I will ever install win 10 home. No thank you!!!

Although I personally don't use either one of those. I am not impressed by nor do I have a need for personal assistant software. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt" <matt.from.florida@...> To: <TechTalk@groups.io> Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 2015 2:42 PM Subject: Re: [TechTalk] Nervous about upgrading to windows ten Yes it does make a concern to privacy. But so does google on android and Siri on iPhone and Siri on other devices. I can see though how it would be helpful for certain people with certain handicaps. Especially as it gets older and better. So as just being blind and no other handicap it might not really help. But I can see other handicaps with blindness or without blindness in making it easier to use the computer. Although I personally consider Cortana a fluff feature with which I am not overly impressed. It also contributes to the privacy concerns in Windows 10. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Onwardbob" <onwardbob@...> To: <TechTalk@groups.io> Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 2015 2:29 PM Subject: Re: [TechTalk] Nervous about upgrading to windows ten I've been following this thread with interest, and I'm wondering why no one has mentioned Cortana. I was looking forward to that particular feature. Is there a problem with it? The Windows 10 core is based on Windows 8 so Windows 10 is essentially an updated version of Windows 8. Not taking into account the privacy concerns, it basically just adds features to what you already have including a Start menu. One of the things which made 8 less popular was the lack of a Start menu. Upgrading from 8 to 10 is probably less of a transition than upgrading from 7 to 10. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donna" <donnamarie1947@...> To: <TechTalk@groups.io> Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 2015 1:39 PM Subject: Re: [TechTalk] Nervous about upgrading to windows ten Does windows ten work like seven I have not done that one as yet either but need to soon just hope I can learn it do not have any help from any one that is blind as I am..
