Re: Blind Geek Zone Website Problem

what you do is.
put back your network configuration before u disconected the cable
from the router and plugged directly into the modem.
then do the following.
open cmd as administrator
type tracert >d:\tracert.txt
replase d with your drive letter.
let the tracert finish just wait a minute
then go to that drive letter and find the tracert.txt file
each line on that file will be 1 hop of the packit
so just calculate which ip address takes the max miliseconds or on
which ip you get connection timed out or something.
then contact your isp and give them that ip and they can then fix it

There could be as little as browser issue, you can try
alternative especially google chrome.
The other would be, DNS or routing issue from your ISP, you would
need the network configuration to make sure its correct and set
to dynamic unless you set it previously.
You can do a tracert, ping or even nslookup to check on that.
The other thing, might be the host file to make sure there셲 no
entry which stop you and also disable all security solution to
make sure none of them its stopping you as well.

Hi Carlos,

I just got off the phone with my ISP, & they were able to access
the BGZ website from wherever the tech support person was at. We
did a screen share & they couldn't find a problem. I power
cycled my modem & router without success. They suggested that it
might be a router problem. Do you think this could be true being
that I'm not having any other Internet or network problems?
Also, I never received Gerald's message, I only seen it in your
reply. Thanks much.
Take care.

Or there may simply be a temporary problem accessing the website
via your ISP.

Mike, I suspect that your ISP, for whatever reason, may be
suddenly blocking the Blind Geek Zone site. See whether you can
access the BGZ site using a proxy server which hides your
computer셲 IP address from your ISP. Just type the address of
the BGZ site into the edit field and see whether you can access

Hi Matt,

I just want to log on to the options page so I can resubscribe to
their email list. Yesterday I was trying to get on their
Archives page, but I was using the wrong password, & after
attempting to log-in with the correct user name & wrong password
several times I'm wondering if the website locked me out somehow.
I unsubscribed thinking that if I resubscribed that I could clear
everything up, but I can't get on any webpage of theirs
