I have had airplain mode explained to me this way.
All I o s devices send out somekind of signal, and this signal can be disruptive to transmitions from a pilot while flying.  If you’re going to travel, and use your device on the plane, it is requested that you turn airplain mode on so it won’t hinder air to ground transmitions from the aircraft.

Hi group!

The first item in the iOS settings is the airplane mode and it is by default set to off and sure it can be changed to on but why do we use this item?
