One of our card players is a member, and so we get together and put in a big order on one of our credit cards on her account. Then everyone pays off whoever's card it is, we all get our stuff and are happy campers.

Not long ago, she lost her credit cards, and got them replaced, but had lost her holder. So I brought her one of those metal ones. She asked how much she owed me, and I told her as much as she did for all of us, I still owed her! That way we all get along pretty well. Bye for now, Carolyn

Not to mention all the other services included. They'll probably eventually raise it to the point where if you don't subscribe, it's because you prefer to pay for shipping. I more often than not opt for the no rush shipping which gives me anywhere from 1 to 6 bucks credit on digital purchases or pantry. That, and the few times where my package has missed its garranteed delivery date, I've gotten a month's extension on my Prime subscription or even a full product refund. -----Original Message----- From: Gerald Levy [mailto:bwaylimited@...] Sent: Tuesday, February 23, 2016 11:44 AM To: TechTalk@groups.io Subject: Re: [TechTalk] Amazon Raises Free Shipping Minimum to $49 Better yet, Target.com still has a minimum order size of only $25 to qualify for free shipping. So eat your heart out, Jeff!!! Maybe once you start losing customers in droves, you'll get the message. Can't recall the free shipping threshold though. We're Prime members, so this doesn't affect us, but I can see how it may impact those on a tighter budget. Previously, I would have suggested going in with someone else to off-set the Prime cost, but with Amazon making changes to their Prime terms last year, it's not that simple anymore. -----Original Message----- From: Gerald Levy [mailto:bwaylimited@...] Sent: Tuesday, February 23, 2016 10:55 AM To: TechTalk@groups.io Subject: Re: [TechTalk] Amazon Raises Free Shipping Minimum to $49 But with Amazon, you have no control over which shipping carrier they will choose for your order. It could be UPS or USPS or Fedex or one of those fly-by-night smaller outfits like Laser Ship or A1 International. And if they split up your order into two or more shipments, they may use different carriers for each one.
