LOL, Mike did neither of these things. You have been a moderator of a list
that I was on before, at the time, we didn't agree, but I can tell you, you
did do a good moderation job. Anyway, the BlindTech list went through a lot
of things. Mainly, constant moving, constant people like free tech guy,
co-owner difficulties, and now, moderator difficulties. So far, it was
strong enough to hold on. Sorry for those who know the song, where I got
the reference from. If not, I can send the lyrics off list. Should be
interesting what happens now, especially that they threw Carlos out for no
apparent reason. LOL, I'm still laughing on the reference above, Mike
always seems to just send admin notes. He never actually gave us the
possibility to speak about something off list. In fact, he's more like a
judge at this point. Although, a question. What's the plan by staying
subscribed to both lists?
PS. The BT list went calm again, since Mike sent his note a little while
ago.

Sorry if I'm late to the party...
A few things come to my mind as I'm reading the list archives for both
lists:
For the past few years, I was a moderator of a number of lists and have seen
ups and downs of this position. As a moderator of a number of lists now
(including two NVDA lists), I always remind myself to be kind and listen to
members, as I felt a list admin sets precedence for others to follow. In
terms of moderation philosophy, I believe in gentle, offlist diplomacy and
how offlist mannerisms matter more for the reputation of a list
administrator. I also believe that an admin should invoke his or her
privilege sparingly (I think it is better for a moderator to listen to
conversations than run the entire show), and to serve not as a judge in
disputes but a counsellor (trying to understand disagreements and let
members resolve disputes themselves offlist). Lastly, I also believe a
moderator should be willing to step down and keep his or her promise to stay
as a member, especially if the reputation of the list is in jeopardy (as it
is, we can agree that Blind Tech will face criticism because of what
happened this weekend, and this latest incident may put that list and its
reputation (and Michael's) in jeopardy).
As of now, I'm subscribed to both lists to monitor what's going on (I'm
still reading Blind Tech archives to fully understand the backstory behind
the birth of this list).

Haha, mean? I'm not sure that I've ever seen Carlos being mean to anyone.
:D I can certainly understand any frustrations he, or anyone else may have
had with the bt list, as I'd had a few of my own, but, he's always kept his
messages polite, as far as I can remember. I certainly wish the best for
this list, the bt list, and any others that offer help towards others who
need it, but, seeing the back and forth bs that seemed to be common for
BlindTech was beginning to get a little silly.
Certainly my thanks for this new one, and here's to it being able to give
the same amount, if not more, help to those of us who like these sorts of
things. hehe Take it easy.

With all due respect, Michael seems to go through one of these
phases about every few months. And this is not the first time
he
has given the list away and then taken control back within a
day.
The fact is that his new co-list owner was rude to me in private
messages and when I commented on this fact, he immediately went
on
the defensive and was quite rude himself. And when I defended
myself and responded to her rudeness, she immediately banned me
from
the list so no thanks.

reconsider. Michael Capell has gotten the list back and has

Anyways, apparently, I'm still having trouble accessing my c
drive
an any other external drives when plugging them into my laptop
running windows 10.
My daughter says, when I tell her, for example, I'm trying to
locate my passport, which is the name of my 1tb external hd, she
clicks on the mouse and then jaws says this pc, so how can I get
to
this pc via the keyboard"This pc is in the file explorer which
use
to show my c drive, dvd drive etc, but it's not showing any of
that.
