Re: Ninite Installer for Adobe Flash Player

Carlos

The last time I tried Chrome it was usable, but still not as accessible as other options like IE or Firefox.

Well another question sort of related. How accessible is Google Chrome now for Windows ? Since Google Chrome has flash player more or less embedded in it I was just thinking it might be good just to have it.

Also, the link I posted is using the ShareByLink service so it will only be available for 30 days.

No because they are not available for download on any official website.

Hi, is this installer on the list of software? If it is then I will not need to save the email.

Unzip the archive and run one of the executable files to update Adobe Flash Player.  There are three files.

Flash IE.exe
is for Internet Explorer.
Flash.exe
is for other plug-in based browsers like Firefox.
Flash Flash IE Installer.exe
will update both at the same time.

What is the purpose of this installer? And how is it used? Just unzip it and it automatically takes care of updates?

Thanks,

Yes, the installers still work.  That's probably because Flash has not changed the location of its updates.

However, the following should be known:

If you do something unusual, such as update Flash and then run a restore point, the updater may not update Flash any longer until you first manually download and install Flash again.  Evidently, some sorts of changes in the program can cause the updator not to function properly.  If you know that an update is available and the updator doesn't install it, then you may have to install Flash another way before using the updator again.

Hi Carlos,

Will this updater keep updating to every new Flash update?  I would
think that such an old piece of software might not work after a point.
I believe it was 2 or 3 years since Adobe demanded Ninite remove their
updater from the website.
