I think he or she does not want it to speak only digest and this is all the iPhone does with Siri or Vo . I think they are wanting O'clock . example 8:05 O'clock PM or AM. This is what I am thinking they are asking.

Can't you hit the iPhone up top and it tell you? It's been a while since I've used ours all the time with Voice Over> I know you can get the phone status at the top right. I thought you coukd get the time on the top left.
