Re: Windows Updates Don't Show

I was just about to suggest this too. :) Since this is the first time you've
run Windows Update it is likely there are quite a bit of updates to be
prepared for downloading, so it will take some time for the percentage meter
to rise. Use the JAWS cursor to read the screen to get an idea of what
Windows Update is doing.

Actually, upon further consideration, what you're describing sounds as if it
may already be in the middle of performing an update.

I'm not sure then. It sounds as if there may be a problem with the
Windows Update component.

Good Morning Carlos,

After typing, wuapp, into the Run dialogue I'm getting a
progress bar of 0 percent. I have all the usual links there, except for the
Important & Optional links.
Take care.

Hi Mike,

Try typing
wuapp
from the
"Run"
dialog. As usual, you can open the
"Run"
dialog by pressing Windows key+R.

Hi All,

I just reinstalled Windows7 Pro yesterday, & I'm
running Jaws15. I'm told that I've got new updates, but when I click on the
system tray icon it takes me to the desktop. When I go to the control panel
/ windows updates I can't find the Important or Optional updates links
either. What do I do to get to these updates so I can install them?!
Thanks much.
Take care.
