Sorry about the blank message, that happens to me at times when using NVDA.
Here ismy response.
Unless I am mistaken when you first power up the Galaxy S7 the triple click activates Voice Assistant which is Samsung's screen reader. However this will get you through the set up process with speech. If you then prefer Talk Back you can go to setting and turn it on and then specify that triple click will apply to Talk Back instead of Voice Assistant.

You should be able to also when turning on the s 7 when it's brand new
tripple click the home key and that will turn on Samsungs version of
talkback.

No problem. Your meaning was clear!
If a blind person were borrowing (or receiving) it already having been used
by a sighted person, could the blind person accessibly adapt it?

sighted assistance.

Mike, To turn on Talk back from the initial start up:
This needs to be done the very first time you power up the phone. Press and
hold the the power button for about 7 seconds to power on. I believe the
device will give a slight vibrations when powering on.
Wait a few seconds for the set up screen to come on (you just have to guess
on this one since of course you can’t see it.
Then place two fingers on the screen and just hold them there. Eventually,
the device will prompt you with speech to continue to hold the fingers on
the screen until Talk Back is enabled. Once Talk Back is enabled you will
have speech to finish your set up.
I have done this sever times with good success.

Hi All,

We're looking into getting into the 21st century by getting smart phones,
but we don't know whether to go iPhone or Android. A friend of mine has a
Samsung Galaxy S-7 that he'll let me play around with, but would someone
please give me steps on how to turn on it's screen reading function? He
doesn't know how, & I sure as hell don't have a clue! LOL All help will be
greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
