I’ve encountered this in the past and the problem requires deleting some DBX files in the store folder that the program will recreate automatically the next time it is launched.
I can be more specific if you need me to do so. It has always been fixable in the past and I imagine it can be resolved.

a couple months ago. I created a new identity and thing started working
again. Then the new identity stopped sending. I switched back to the
original and it now sends again. However, it will not delete messages.
JAWS announces deletion but nothing happens. Any ideas? Thanks.
