I’ve encountered this in the past and the problem requires deleting some DBX files in the store folder that the program will recreate automatically the next time it is launched.
 
I can be more specific if you need me to do so. It has always been fixable in the past and I imagine it can be resolved.

Is this happening in  1 folder only or, all folders?  i.e, Is it only happening in the In-box?

My outlook express (version 6 running under windows XP) stopped sending mail
a couple months ago.  I created a new identity and thing started working
again.  Then the new identity stopped sending.  I switched back to the
original and it now sends again.  However, it will not delete messages.
JAWS announces deletion but nothing happens.  Any ideas?  Thanks.
