Re: NVDA and headset

hi Gene,
but if he unplugs the headphone, will NVDA redirect? I generally don't know, but it's something to consider.

I didn't notice it.

Open the synthesizer settings with control NvDA key s.
Tab to the combo box where you select which device will be used. With
the headphones plugged in, select the headphones, however they are
identified. Tab to and activate the ok button.

If music is coming out of your speakers when you connect the headphones,
then you don't have to worry about telling the other audio to play
through the speakers. but if the audio you want to play through your
speakers plays through your headphones, you will have to direct that to
the speakers. I don't know how that is done.

In other words, I can tell you how to direct NVDA to play through your
headphones. I don't know how you specify that other audio plays only
through your speakers.

Gene:

I stated:

When I use my computer and music is coming out of the external speakers,
how can I have NVDA come out of the headset.

So, I’m using NVDA, and the headset is an USB headset.

It's a screen-reader setting. What screen-reader are you using? I am
assuming you are using a USB headset. If you aren't, my answer doesn't
apply.

Hi,

I’ve asked this before, and no response. I’ll try again.

When I use my computer and music is coming out of the external speakers,
how can I have NVDA come out of the headset.

Thank you
