Re: Internet connection.

Actually this is one of the first things I tried and it did nothing. But I kept checking and found that if I turned off BT in settings and re-booted the Surface, I was connected to wifi. Not sure if one of the setting in the BlueTooth area was causing the problem but, for now it is working. and at the moment the laptop is connected also. Sometimes I find that I solve a problem without knowing exactly how I managed it. LOL
Thanks for the response.

Hi Maria, you just might need to reboot the router. This can be done by unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Just in the last few weeks I have had repeated problems with maintaining the internet connection on both my laptop and my Surface tablet. I just turned on the surface and ... no internet so I ran the trouble shooter. It tells me there is no valid IP configuration. I have never ever set an IP address or ever needed to. So what is going on and how can I fix it, please. This is driving me crazy. Thanks, Marie
