Re: Tracker Breeze

hi,
we all know they will eventually drop it. look what happened to the apex. and that guy tried telling me that keysoft drives the touch, and so the fact that the thing runs kitKat pretty much doesn't matter. those who follow tech, and android, know that this is not true at all. having said that both about humanWare, and that Roger guy, and knowing what I know, why should I believe them? I'm not saying you're wrong, but we all know where this is going. so my question stands still, as proud as it can be.
PS. read the thread, thank you very much.

Hi all,
Rajmund, had you read the thread, you would have discovered that there was information from Roger Behm, one of HW's most reputable dealers to say that one doesn't have to pay for the trek options unless one wants them. HW is not going to stop selling the Stream II.

here, the point is, they make people pay for stuff that some will never use. I can tell you now, at least 1 third of the stream people have no interest in the GPS part, I'm sure of it. But they'll now have to pay for it, whether they want to or not.

and you pay more for the navigation part, that you'll never use. I can buy a high end phone for that, that does it all, plus more.

Well you will get GPS with it as well as lots of new features as well.
So basically you will get the trek breeze combine with the victor reader with some thrifty new features like BT, higher processer and 32 GB of storage on board now and FM radio and lots of GPS features coming for the GPS as time goes on.

It should be a very good experience as a first go into the world of the V Stream.
I do not think I'll buy one. Just too much money for what I feel I would get.
I have been a Stream user ever since they came out. Lordy, I cannot even remember how long ago that was. As I remember it, the NFB was in Atlanta. Everyone who ordered one was put into a drawing to get it free. And, my God, I won it! Ha!
Again, I am sure you will enjoy this new unit.

I just downloaded and played the podcast, and I agree. I think I am finally going to own a Victor product. Pam.

Yes, it appears that the new "combo" unit does have "built in" BT capability.
This seems to be the only additional feature of interest to me as a V Stream Next Generation user. I am currently thinking that it is a lot to pay for onboard BT capability.

Maybe the new combo Stream/Trekker will have Bluetooth, I hope. But, in the meantime, I think Laz sells a Bluetooth setup that will plug into the current Victor Stream.<div id="DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2"><br /> <table style="border-top: 1px solid #D3D4DE;"> <tr>

What is that new device. I just bought a Stream, which I am having to
send for repair, but I believe that it is Bluetooth capable.
What is this new one? How much storage does it have? Is the speaker
quality better than the Victor. I mean, this is like pulling a scab
off a sore for me to ask you this, but I'd be interested to know
whether or not I can get one.
Laz on Blind Best had a great demonstration of a Daizy Reader, and I
like Sally and Joey, oh way, way, way better than Heather and Ryan.
Trouble is though that as I understand it, you can't access BARD with
it. The controls sounded so smart and logical.
Best from,
Carolyn

Well there is no doubt I will be getting this device! As soon as I
can put in a Pre order for it. I have been waiting for the newer
version of a victor stream to come out with Bluetooth. But this is so
much better. I never expected this. You save 100 bucks on pre order
so that is nice as well. So will be getting this device.
