Ah, that's neat. I wasn't aware that apple would actually unlock the device for you before it was payed off. that wasn't the case when I purchased my device from them a few years ago. When I purchased my 5 from them and it was locked to my carrier at the time, I had to get the unlock through the carrier.
That's definitely good to know though and thanks bunches for sharing.

Why pay 400 bucks from Amazon whenever you can go to Apple, and get the essay for free on a two-year contract which is the phone that he wants.
