Hi Victor, Wow, you pressed the star key by single finger double tapping? Thank you for sharing that, as I never heard of that one. You should definitely be able to enter the phone number along with the extension or just a single number in contacts, and if not, I would suggest calling Apple accessibility about that. An example of adding a phone number along with an extension or just a single number is I will use the zeroes as a phone number and the number 1 as a single number meaning if that number 1 might be an option you want, 000-000-0000,1

Hi Janet: I was able to dial a number with an extension by dialing the phone number, holding the Star button until I heard VoiceOver say "Comma." Then I dialed the extension. That worked. At least I can use that option if necessary. Now I just have to figure out how to make the phone dial the phone number with the extension directly from contacts. I googled the instructions for doing it the way I did and I found an article that instructs people to do it that way. Thank you, Victor On 8/24/17, janet gross <janet.harvard@outlook.com> wrote: Hi Victor, I'm sorry to hear this. As far as entering an extension after dialing a phone number on the keypad on an iOS device is quite accessible. Adding an extension to a phone number when creating a contact is quite accessible as well. Janet

Hi Janet:
I haven't tried pressing Pound or Star, but just dialing the extension when the recording asks for it doesn't work for me because the phone system I'm calling never excepts it. I'm sure there's a trick to it, but I haven't found it yet.
Thanks,
Victor

Hi Carolyn, , On an iOS phone you can just tell Siri the phone number you want to dial, and she will dial it for you. If you had just say for example, if you had my phone number in your contacts, you could tell Siri call Janet, and she will dial my number only if I'm in your contacts though. Janet

The trouble is, what if I'm calling somewhere, and the number is not in contacts, guess would just have to make it a contact to get that to work?

Hi Victor, Whitten the main phone number, after you put the phone number and put some kind of punctuation such a comma in the contacts before putting in the extension. That way it will automatically just dial the extension for you whenever you call the number. This is how a lot of people have to end up doing it.

Hi all, When dialing a phone number with the iPhone, how do you dial an extension? I'm asking because every time I dial a phone number with the iPhone and I have to dial extension, I always have problems. I can dial the phone number using the keypad on the iPhone, but when it comes to dealing the extension I never seem to be successful. Is it possible to dial the extension while you dial the main number? Please give me some pointers for making this easier. Thank you, Victor Sent from my iPhone Sent from my iPhone
