I heard they did experiments for a year with selected candidates.

Best regards,

Yes and again this was years ago when they were just testing them as the CRP or Independence for the blind of West Florida in Pensacola had gotten a contract with the company to do the testing of the models for them to make sure were safe to use and affective too which again in a way they were; but, again took some getting use to using them and those weren't as instantaneously as the items out now like the OrCan etc. are.

Well, I've smoked and used to be a gum chewer, so if it gave some kind of alternative sight, I think I could manage that. It does sound cumbersome with glasses, the mouth gadget, and something on your waste. Over the years, I am sure it will get better.

Best regards,

Carolyn

Oh, I wouldn’t want to have to keep something in my mouth. Pam.

Peter,

I saw this device at convention. You have to keep a device in your mouth and a cap on your head with a camera, while you travel. I can see how this would be of value if you have Neuropathy in your hands. It would be a companion to a cane, not a rplacement. I personally would not like any part of this. I’m sure that wasn’t of much value but I am just sharing one opinion. I hope it works out for you.

Take care!

Tammy

Posted this question on another group but I'm looking for anyone who

has experience, even briefly, with the Brainport device. I have an

opportunity to possibly get trained and then issued one through the VA

but can't seem to get a lot of information about it. Thanks in

advance.

Peter
