I can buy a used phone and use it as just qa cell phone without a data pack. That’s because I own the phone am am not buying it on a multi year plan.



The cheapest data plan I can get here in Saskatoon will cost me fifty per cent more than my cell plan.

There are some low cost plans that include a small amout of data which could work for you to just use Siri for calling. Pure Talk has a plan for $20 a month that includes unlimited calls and text and half Gig of data. you can add a Gig for $5 more a month. For those that have any type of Medicaid help can get a free phone plan tor 1000 min andunlimited text and a Gig of data.

When you use your voice to ask to have a phone call made, you are using Siri. I also don’t know if you can get by without buying some kind of a data package. I was always told that you had to have something, good luck.

If you have a WiFi connection then you can use it through the WiFi.

Well, No. I am more interested in using the phone as a cell phone and not a smart phone. I don’t want to pay for a data pack which I would hardly ever want to use.

I just do not like the idea of having to be on line to use a phone.

Yes, I have a basic cell phone but a smart phone may have some additional features I can use without having to have a data package.
