Re: ninite question

Gene and group:

My home page is yahoo in internet explorer and forms mode comes up when I hit enter.  Do you think I need forms mode?  Secondly, I launched chrome and did as Chris suggested with no problems.  I think I set the home page correctly.  This time I used Google.  Now the last question I have is I set up the shortcut keys the other night and I used Control Alt C and when I tried to launch chrome by using it, I got nothing.  I had to go to the desktop and hit G to find it and then I entered on it.  Did I do something wrong?  One more thing and then I will close for the night.  After I finished making my home page and I got out of it, I relaunched chrome and it asked me if I wanted to make it my default browser.  I wasn't sure of what to do there.  Thank you all for your help and patience as I learn something totally foreign to me.

What is your home page in Internet Explorer?  The only way forms mode should come on automatically is if your home page places you in an edit field when it opens.

As far as making Chrome the default browser, I don't remember if you are using Windows 10, but you may have to follow a procedure in Windows 10 itself to make it the default browser.  Others may explain the procedure.  I don't use Windows 10 and I don't know it.

Its been so long since I made a page the home page in Chrome that I don't recall how it is done.

One more question, I use Jaws and when I am in Internet explorer, I have
forms mode on.  I should say it comes up automatically.  So when I do
set this up and I turn forms mode off, will it come on again automatically?

Use the letter H to move to the heading that says, On start-up. Arrow down and you will see 3 radio buttons. The one you want is the third one down that says, open a specific page or set of pages. Press the spacebar to check this radio button.
