Re: Windows10 and Email programs

I use NVDA, and have found Thunderbird to be the best option for my email needs. Outlook is another great choice, but for me, Outlook 2016 lags a bit for some reason. The only downside of Thunderbird, is that it's spell check is not as powerful as what you will find in the Microsoft Office apps. To get around this, I just use an Auto Hot key app I made that let's me spell check my emails in Microsoft Word.

It's been a while since I used the native Windows 10 mail app, so I can't really remember all of the reasons it did not work for me. I believe the main issue was that it did not offer the option for me to merge all of the inboxes of my various email accounts; of course, I may be remembering that wrong, please someone correct me if I'm mistaken. Either way, if you only have one email account that kind of inbox management would not be an issue for you.

Good luck,

Thank you. I just switched over to NVDA from jaws so I'd be interested to
hear what NVDA users have to say.

Personally I like outlook. I haven't used the windows mail app much, but I
understand it is still a bit hokey with jaws. I'm sure others on the list
can give a much more informed opinion on windows mail. Many folks on the
list use thunderbird, and I understand it works quite well.

Hello listers, I would like some opinions on what client is best to use with
Windows10. Is the mail app reliable or would it be better to stick with a
program such as outlook?

Diana.
