Hi,

Official way: Settings (Windows+I)/Devices/AutoPlay, and tab through various removable device categories and choose “ask me every time” option.

Remember in Windows 7 when you would insert a thumb drive or a CD and that nifty menu would come up prompting you to open folder to view files, do nothing, etc.?  Now that I have upgraded to Windows 10, I have found many things to love about it, but I sorely miss that notification popping up just waiting for me to take action.  Is there a Windows 10 setting that will bring that functionality back?
