Hi Jeff. I turned mine off by doing insert-6 while in Word, that is the number 6 just beneath the function keys, to get to Settings Center. Then, type the word spell in the search box. Now, down arrow to the option “Detect spelling while navigating,” and hit the spacebar until JAWS says “off.” Then, tab to “apply” hit spacebar, then tab to “okay” and hit spacebar. That did the trick for me.

I am plagued by the feature where jaws prints “misspelled” when I actually get the word wrong or it doesn’t recognize the word which is correct. Can I disable this “feature? Thanks, Jeff
