I'm going to have someone with sight try and help me with this.  I'm only getting mostly vibration and the tone settings.  It's not saying error like it used to.  I may try and put a new battery in although it sounds fine.  I will keep you posted.

Try pressing and holding the button on one side.  Then press the other button and see what happens.  Press and release it more than once if necessary to change to the mode you want.  Or you may have to release both, press one again and then press the other.  I haven't done this for a long time and very seldom but experiment and you should find the way.

Thank you for giving me the website where I could find the directions. 
I did as it said, and now I'm stuck in vibrate mode where before I was
in the beeping mode.  I want to get to speaking mode but it doesn't seem
to be doing this.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
