Not directly but it could be run on 64bit emulator software, so it would be slower.
Any competent installer for any Operating System will be able to tell if you’re trying to install it on incompatible hardware and will prevent you from doing so.
If the installer is daft enough to blindly install regardless, the 64bit Operating System simply will not boot once installed.

Hi, please excuse my ignorance regarding this subject, but is it possible to have a 64 bit operating system installed on a computer with a 32 bit mother/main board? Or, are mainboards just multi-purpose in regards to whether a 32 or 64 bit OS is being used on it?
