Re: reading a PDF file

Good morning Kay. I use JAWS 2019, and it has a utility called Convenient
OCR that has gotten me out of a few situations where I had a PDF file that
was an image. I'm not quite sure when JFW introduced convenient OCR, but if
you have a fairly recent version of JAWS on your computer, you could put
your cursor on the file's name and hit the application key and see if
convenient OCR is there. If you have it, hit enter on it, and JAWS does
some clicks, and after an interval of time, a screen opens up called OCR
results. Mine does a pretty nice job with the minimum of jibberish.

Hi Kay,
Are you wanting to keep this document on your phone, or can you move it to
your computer?

Subject: [TechTalk] reading a PDF file

Hi all,
For the most part I don't have problems with PDF files. But when they are
images and not OCR text I can not read them. I got a book on the Keto life
style and it is accompanied with a PDF and without that PDF it is pretty
much useless. I have tried a few things but haven't had any major success
turning it in to a readable document. Can anyone help me with this? I
would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.
