Whether it is or not, as I recall from discussions I’ve seen on lists like this one, the new versions of Esset (spelling) aren’t accessible.  You may want to try to get a refund. 
Or you can check if you can still use an old accessible version.  I think you can.  Whatever you received about updating, you can probably use an older version. I believe many people are using older versions.

I have had Esset for years and don't remember getting a notice like this.

I would suggest you go to the system tray, enter on Esset and arrow down to
'check for updates', then tab to the update now button.
