Re: Libre office again?

Hi there David!

I am running Jaws 18.

Jaws doesn't appear to work well in the writer program which is the word equivalent and in the excel program.  example, when I press the tab key within the excel program Jaws doesn't give any sort of feed back at all.

I believe it is the most recent version of Libre Office.

I believe sluggish is a bit icorrect, it just Jaws just doesn't seem to give me the same sort of feedback that I had when I was running Microsoft office. As I stated, it doesn't give me tab positions in writer nor does it give me the positions in the excel program.  Thanks much!

Jim, I have a few follow-up questions.

1. Which version of JAWS are you using?

2. What application within the LibreOffice suite is behaving sluggishly? Is it Writer, Calc, etc.

3. Which version of LibreOffice?

4. When is it becoming sluggishness? While typing in a document? Navigating with arrow keys? Navigating within menus, etc.

Hi there Folks!
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I might get Libre Office to work better with jaws..? It seems to act sluggish or slow and not at all like Microsoft Office? I know that it isn't Microsoft office but it is suppose to be a close substitute<SMILE!>.  Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly APPRECIATED! Much Thanks! de
