By the way, what version of Edge is being talked about in the original message?
There are still some machines out there that, for whatever reason, never got the update from Edge Original to the new Chromium-based edge, and the behavior of the two is very different in a number of respects. If hitting ALT+F gets you to the Edge menu then you have the new Chromium-based Edge. If it doesn't, you're still on Edge Original (and if memory serves ALT+X brings up the Edge menu).
If you have Edge Original ditch it, as it's being ditched entirely by Microsoft with the 20H2 feature update.

Always remember that computers are just glorified light bulbs - they rarely fail in continuous use and usually go pop when turned off and on.
