I don't know of any that have any FS employees on them, or if there are any
on
any of them they've never indicated that they are. Do you want me to just
send
the info for all of them?

Madison,
Yes please if you wouldn't mind. . I'm still trying to work with JAWS,
matter
of fact, I went back in to the control Panel, and I found JAWS 2021, and I
selected and removed the JAWS user's settings, and I noticed finally JAWS
2021
has disappeared! I am thinking when I downloaded JAWS , it might be set to
keep
my settings from the last version. I know we get this option, but I can't
remember if I kept those options in the JAWS 2020, and if so, that could
very
well be why JAWS is not behaving. I will now download JAWS 2021 once again,
and
see if that might make a difference. Just meaning because I had the JAWS
2021
that wasn't behaving normally, and just maybe when I downloaded the second
JAWS
it kept the settings from the JAWS that was not behaving. I hope this makes
sense! I will admit this sounds a little confusing! LOL!
Smile!
Thank you so much. !

Janet

Madison,
How about one that some of the people from FS are on? There used to be a
JAWS
list with some employees were on. I just can't remember wich one it was, as
it
has been so long. . ----Original Message-----

Madison,
Oh yes this is frustrating all right! Smile! I don't think Windows 10 is
too
much different either, but I'm just going by from what I've seen so far, and
that is only since last Saturday. If I could get JAWS to work, I can find
out
if I even like Windows 10, but at this point, trying to get used to a Laptop
with some keys closer than I would like, and trying to figure out what is
the
problem with JAWS! LOL! Yes, if you would send me the address to the JAWS
list, as I haven't been on one of those list in several years, I would
appreciate it. Matter of fact, I was on nomail on one of those list, and I
think that list might have closed down.

Thank you again.
Janet

Hi Janet,
I get it, I was just asking that's all. I'll be honest, I really don't find
Windows 10 to be much different from Windows 7. I do understand your
frustrations though, and wish I could be of more help. There are Jaws
specific
email lists, would you like the info for any of them? If not then I hope
that
Freedom Scientific can help you, they're helping me with an issue now,
though
yours is way more serious, mine are just minor annoyances.

HI Madison,
Thank you so much, but I paid $1000 for JAWS license, and pay for the MSA
agreement every two years for JAWS updates. JAWS needs to work! I really
don't
want to try and use another screen reader right now, as I am trying to get
used
to using a Laptop, and trying to get used to using Windows 10. Wow, what a
learning experience! LOL!

Janet
Smile!
I think I'm going to call freedomscientific.

Oh Janit,
I'm so sorry you're having so many issues. Hopefully another list member can
be
of more help. Do you want to keep trying with Jaws, or would you be willing
to
try another screen reader?

HI Madison.
As soon as I press shift f10, all I hear is a ding sound, and that is as far
as
I can get, so this isn't working. I have been having problems with JAWS
2021,
and I even downloaded a new version of JAWS 2021 thinking maybe JAWS 2021
got
corrupted during the first download. So, after downloading again, I then
get a
message saying this version of JAWS needs to be repaired, so I press space
or
enter to allow JAWS to repair, and I'm assuming it is repairing, as I hear
the
ticking sound as well as a message saying JAWS is preparing to download, and
I
get a message about 10 or 15 minutes later saying JAWS has completed the
repair,
and I need to restart my computer, so I restart the computer, but JAWS is
still
the exact same way. I can't seem to do anything with JAWS 2021 rather on my
Laptop win 10 or PC win 07.
Thank you so much for your instructions, as I wil keep them for further
references.

Janet

Hi Janit,
Hit the Windows key
Arrow down and you'll hear all aps
Arrow down until you get to Jaws, if your computer is like mine then it'll
probably be a folder that's collapsed If this is the case then enter on the
folder and the first thing that should come up is Jaws 2021 Press shift f10
then
arrow down a few times and you'll find uninstall Just enter on this and you
should get a little voice telling how far along the uninstall is

Hope this helps!!

Hi Everyone,
Can someone please tell me if there is an easier way to uninstall JAWS 2021
in
Windows 10 Laptop, other than going through the Control Panel? I already
know
how to uninstall a program through the Control Panel. I don't think I've
ever
uninstalled JAWS before, as I usually install it.

Thank you in advance.

Janet
