I believe (but am not certain), that the SSD is soldered into the
motherboard.
Same goes for the RAM.
I don't own a mac so others will have to help here.

Subject: [TechTalk] Is there a way to add capacity to an old Mac Book Air?

Hi,

I have a Mac Book Air from the 2014 or 2015. If I remember correctly, I was
able to update to El Capitan. So I'm wondering, is there a way to boost
capacity by using a USB external device, or would it be necessary to upgrade
to a new one? I'd appreciate any input,

Thanks,
