It is entirely possible, yes.
I know Jim struggles with technology, but if we knew exactly what laptop he had we might be able r to figure that out.

That is what I’m been thinking about is what might have happened to Jim's PC. MS from what I've heard has done this to certain PC's . No idea why though.
