Do you have the option to link the Mac?
That might be showing only because Dropbox was accessed by the Mac.
Stay safe & take care. Mike. Just once, I want a username and password prompt to say: "Close Enough!"

You need to link the Mac computer to your Dropbox account. Try the following:
Using JAWS 2020 and Google Chrome, I do the following:
On Dropbox site, after logging in, enter on Account. This expands the account menu.
Enter on Settings
Enter on Security tab, to select it.
There are several other settings before the list of devices. Either scroll past them, or look for the word "devices" on the page.
Devices
currently linked to Dropbox are listed from the most recently used to the
oldest. Each device has an indication of when it was last using Dropbox,

Hi, So I pay for the 2 tb option for drop box. I at times from my windows machine put things into drop box. When I go to the mac, launch drop box, I’m not seeing the item in there, and only see it on the windows side. Any thoughts? Thank you

This is something different. i was trying to order
a SSD drive, After I picked the brand, there were a list of sizes,250GB, 500 GB
and 1 TB. There were no check boxes. I tried using spacebar also enteron the

order some products for my wife, that came in different quanity boxes, same
problem there also. I have only seen this happen this past

I have found that sometimes when you arrow down through the
size choices, JAWS does not announce the options. I just arrow down once,
then Shift tab to the beginning and then the size will be announced. You
may have to do this more than once to get to where you want. If all else
fails, call Amazon disability and have them pick the items and size and put into
your cart.

Re: free antivirus and windows 10..?
Troy Burnham
This isn't a new machine. I did, however, have the geek squad reinstall windows for me back in February of this year because the machine wouldn't boot into windows and when the geek squad evaluated it they said it was a software problem, and they offered me some sort of software program that I let them install thinking it might help but it was more of a problem than anything. I forget what software it was but I don't believe it was AVG, and I eventually got it uninstalled, but maybe it was something to do with that that stopped windows security from running. I know that I just recently started downloading and running the Microsoft safety scanner again after not doing that for a while, and when I used to use that it never found anything to quarentine but the last few times it has been finding things to remove.
Is there a way that I can double-check to be sure windows security is indeed running? I found it in my settings the other day and turned something on that said it was off but I don't know if that did the trick or not.

If your choosing a product like clothing or shoes, you will need to

choose one of the options from the first option, for instance the color of the clothing. Then this will change the options for the next option, like size, as your size may be available in that color or maybe not. As you move to the next option the values are updated, so the next option, the quantity drop-down menu, will reflect how many pieces of clothing in your selected color and size are available. Question about Cookies
Dave
I has been years since I needed to know where Cookies were stored. But
here we are, I now need to know where Cookies are stored and so far, I am not finding them on my Win 10 System. Seems like I remember them being stored in a folder called Cookies, under another folder named Favorites. This is not the case on my Win 10 System. Can anyone tell me where Cookies are stored? Probably right in plain sight, but so far, I'm not finding them. Thanks, Grumpy Dave

An Amazon problem
Loy
Hi,
I have come across something new at Amazon when
trying to order some items. I click on an item I want and a list of different
options comes up. The choices are like different quantities or sizes I can
choose from. I can't figure out how to select the one I want using JAWS. Has
anyone else come across this and how did you choose the one you wanted from the
list.

Gene,
I read READER’S DIGEST for years, but stopped when their articles were essentially thumbnail sketches filled with links. I wouldn’t mind if such links were posted at the end of articles, but as you point out, that doesn’t seem to be the way of modern journalism; after all, it’s all about catching the eye and attention of the reader immediately; after all, the reader may not read to the end of the article.
Greg
From: main@TechTalk.groups.io [mailto:main@TechTalk.groups.io] On Behalf Of Gene
The New York Times recently has begun inserting sections in articles containing text and links to related articles, or articles in the same section that are only related by category, such as that they are all opinion articles. Here is an example: Opinion | In Biden’s Foreign Policy, What Is ‘Rules-Based Order?’ - The New York Times (nytimes.com) This appears in the middle of an opinion article about Biden’s foreign policy: OPINION DEBATEWill the Democrats face a midterm wipeout? • EZRA KLEIN writes that “midterms typically raze the governing party” and explores just how tough a road the Democrats have ahead. • JAMELLE BOUIE wonders whether voters will accept a party “that promises quite a bit but won’t work to make any of it a reality.” • MAUREEN DOWD writes that Biden has “a very narrow window to do great things” and shouldn’t squander it appeasing Republican opponents. • THOMAS B. EDSALL explores new research on whether the Democratic Party could find more success focusing on race or on class when trying to build support.
While I read other content online and haven’t seen an increase in this sort of thing, this could be the start of a new trend. Have others seen an increase?
Ways of eliminating intrusive content such as Edge’s Immersive Reader, don’t detect and remove these long sections. How do they look different to sighted readers? Does the difference in appearance give any indication of how these sections might be detected and removed or skipped by screen-readers or features like Immersive Reader??

For some reason windows security notified me a couple of days ago that it was turned off on my windows 10 machine. I think I eventually got it turned back on but in the meantime I found out that AVG was installed and apparently running. I have no idea how AVG got installed, must've been part of some bloatwear that got installed when I installed something else even though I have unchecky installed and that's supposed to stop extra things like that from installing, but unless the message I got was wrong apparently certain things can shut down windows security.
