This is a pretty obvious fishing attempt.

A few hints for the future to help you with things like this.

1. A well run company wouldn't implement something like this and only give it's users a weeks notice.

2. the email address, this is something most users miss, but it's a dead giveaway. If this was real i'd expect the sender to have some sort of @fastmail.com address

3, the following statement in the email.

> Please note: Failure to comply with our account verification process may lead to temporary suspension of access to our online and telephone banking service.


Excuse me, what? i thought you run an email service, not a banking service?

Hello, thank you for your suggestion. That wasn’t the issue, but I did discover what the problem is. I had accidentally changed audio destinations to external speakers only.

Hello,

If you check the box for an app and that app is already downloaded, you will simply receive the message that that app has been skipped. If it requires an update, or if you haven't downloaded the app, the app will be downloaded. If you already have the app in question, and the app updates itself, there is no need to add it to a Ninite installer.

Accessibility of Windows Remote Desktop Protocol

Dear all,

I am using NVDA 2021.1 on Windows 10, and will be attempting to
utilize my university's facility to access an on-campus cluster
computer remotely. It seems to operate via screen-share and is based
on "the built in Remote Desktop protocol in Windows." It is unclear to
me Is this is accessible with a screen reader though.

I would love to hear from people who have any experience with the
Windows remote protocol or something that matches my description
above. Any and all tips and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Can No Longer Send or Receive Email in Verizon Account

I have had a Verizon email account for decades.  Several years ago, Verizon turned its email over to its AOL subsidiary.  It is free with little to know tech support.  I have this account on three computers, along with several gmail accounts.


Suddenly, three days ago, the Verizon account stopped downloading or sending any mail on all three computers, although it still functions on the AOL web site.  I keep getting the following error message:

"Sending of password for user ironrock did not succeed. Mail server http://pop.verizon.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later"

Well, I have tried dozens of times on all three computers with no success. My gmail accounts continue to work fine, and the web site version of the Verizon account also works fine. Aol is of no assistance. I am about to give up completely on this account and switch over totally to gmail, but first, do any of you have a clue of what is going on here?

Hi all,

Why aggravate yourself by getting a demo of Jaws that you have to restart every forty minutes. Either buy/ Jaws for $120.00 a year or get NVDA which is free.

I just checked.  I speculated that saving the settings after opening or saving a file as I described might cause the default folder to change.  It doesn’t.  this setting isn’t remembered after the program closes if you move around as I described.. 
 
However, there is a much easier way to change the default location.

    If you want to save every file you want saved from Openbook to go to your My Documents folder do the following:

need to select it it is already selected / highlighted.  After you have the file path copied to the clipboard press, shift + F6, to get out of that window
& Alt + F4 to close Documents & Settings.  Okay you have the file path copied to the clipboard so, now open Openbook because you are going to paste that
file path into your Openbook General Settings.
4. With Openbook open press, Alt + G, to open your settings options list, now press the letter, G, to open, General Settings.
5. Tab to, Default File Format, arrow up or down to select the file format you want to save your documents in.
6. Tab 1 time to, Default File Location, Press your backspace key to remove what's there, press, control + C, to paste your file path to your My documents folder right here.  The file path should look
something like below:
 
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\My Documents
 
7. Tab to apply, press the spacebar,Tab to okay, press the spacebar to save your changes & close General Settings.  Now you need to save these new settings
as your default settings.  So press, Alt + G again, & you should be on, Save The Settings so press enter to open.  Tab a couple of times & make sure that,
All Settings, is checked.  Now tab 1 time to, Save, press enter.  You will hear something like, file default already exists, would you like to overwrite

I just did a bit of experimenting.  If I change the open dialog to open a file in a different folder, it remembers and shows me that folder when I use the open dialog again.  It also saves in that folder.  If I close and reopen the program, the two locations revert to what they were.  This might change permanently if you save the settings after you make the changes. 
 
But remember that this may be an inconvenience, depending on how you generally save things.  As I said, it appears that if you change where you open things, that appears to change where you save things as well.  I didn’t check to see if the reverse happens.
