I absolutely  hate over lays. It is not accessible at all, they should be illegal. If a site is using one, I figure they do not want my business  and go else where.

Hello,

Absolutely do not use these people. They are a rip off. As a matter of fact they were a sponsor of the NFB convention and then were pulled because of how bad they are. They can not deliver what they promise. Here is a link to the overlay fact sheet which can explain things better than I can.

This link should tell you what you need to know.

Hey there, Ron, frankly, I wouldn't recommend this site as there have been complaints made against them from the NFB. They do lots of advertising but their actions don't match their claims. Tell your church to avoid them like the plague! Have a great day! Brian Zolo (feel free to call me BZ, grin!

Hi Howard,

A chrome book is a google laptop. It is not a windows machine and you cannot install window programs on it.
It has its own screenreader called chrome vox I think.

What is meant by a Chrome Book Computer? Does it--or can it--run under Windows or other operating systems or only a Google Chrome priority system? What makes it different from other Windows-based laptops? Does it have CPU, storage, ports, etc. similar to other laptops? Can it run NVDA, JAWS, Window-eyes, and other such screen readers? I found a Lenovo laptop that perports to be a Chrome Book at a very good price. I'm wondering if it would be as usable as something like a Toshiba, Dell, or others.

Opinions and facts, please.

Thanks.

hi.

This is a pretty obvious fishing attempt.

A few hints for the future to help you with things like this.

1. A well run company wouldn't implement something like this and only give it's users a weeks notice.

2. the email address, this is something most users miss, but it's a dead giveaway. If this was real i'd expect the sender to have some sort of @fastmail.com address

3, the following statement in the email.

> Please note: Failure to comply with our account verification process may lead to temporary suspension of access to our online and telephone banking service.

Excuse me, what? i thought you run an email service, not a banking service?

Please notice I have changed the password on the iPhone several times since I last used this iPad and now it is refusing to logon to the account. I do not remember what was the password when it was configured and it is not listed as a device on my account. I want to reset it completely to configure it as new, iTunes did not help me either, please help.

Re: Question about using Ninite

Nimer Jaber

Hello,

If you check the box for an app and that app is already downloaded, you will simply receive the message that that app has been skipped. If it requires an update, or if you haven't downloaded the app, the app will be downloaded. If you already have the app in question, and the app updates itself, there is no need to add it to a Ninite installer.

I hope this answers your questions.

Accessibility of Windows Remote Desktop Protocol

Bhavya shah

Dear all,

I am using NVDA 2021.1 on Windows 10, and will be attempting to
utilize my university's facility to access an on-campus cluster
computer remotely. It seems to operate via screen-share and is based
on "the built in Remote Desktop protocol in Windows." It is unclear to
me Is this is accessible with a screen reader though.

I would love to hear from people who have any experience with the
Windows remote protocol or something that matches my description
above. Any and all tips and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
