But what happens if you follow the link?  I haven’t seen invitations with just a link and not the ID and password below it but as I asked, when you press enter on the link what happens?

When I press enter on an invite and tab to where the link is, I do not find anything below the link, and our company is making passwords mandatory for meetings now, so there should be one.

I know the meeting id is in the link, and after the id it says “pwd=…” followed by a bunch of letters and numbers, but it isn’t the recognizable 6-digit password.

I don’t know if a Zoom invitation can contain only a phone number.  If you read it and you don’t see things clearly stated such as ID and then the code and then on another line password followed by the code, then it appears you don’t have such information.

Usually, before the information you are asking about, you get a link containing all the information you need.  If you follow that link, your default browser will open and you can launch zoom from the page that opens and be taken to the meeting.  You may do whichever you want, but that is a more convenient way, requiring less writing.

All,

I am using JAWS 2021 and Outlook.  I am trying to find the passcode for a Zoom meeting but do not see that on the meeting invite.  I am dialing in by phone only, and not activating the Zoom link.  Can anyone tell me if it is somewhere in the Outlook meeting invite that I am missing?

Thanks,

I’m not saying the Internet Archive doesn’t try to police itself, but I wouldn’t assume that they do a 100 percent job.  Unless you have other grounds for believing the version is legal other than that it is on that site, I will not allow free Eloquence to be discussed on the list.  this is for legal protection of the list.  It is a standard policy for a lot of lists to protect the lists.

Since you can buy Eloquence, I don’t find it credible that any specific version has been made free by the owners.  That generally isn’t done.  If a company is selling a product, the company doesn’t usually make this or that version free.  I say usually because I don’t know if it is ever done but I have never heard of it.

When you put in a number in a smart phone, and that number is going to have to have extension, bank account number, whatever, that might need to be entered, put in a comma, Shift+7, and then enter the other numbers that are required in order for you to reach your telephone destination.

So, when you call, go to Contacts, enter on the contact, double-tap on number to call - VOILA, it dials number, passcode and all. I also put in a comma and then pound, because if calling in, you have to press pound after you reach your Zoom number.

I have been using nvda for 10 years.

My way of making donations to nvda is to purchase their tutorials for such things as the program ms word, excel, ets.

These tutorials are in various text formats or mp3.

They cost about  22 u s dollars.

Narrator has really improved in win10.

JAWS is more user definable for those without knowledge of programming
because of the ability to create frames. Frames can be very important for
making programs usable without having to have the delay and possible expense
of having someone script for that program.

NVDA uses scripts but the general user, as in JAWS, doesn’t directly work
with, change or develop them.

will meet a lot of users’ needs but there are times when it is faster and

Narrator in Windows 10 has much improved, but never come close to JAWS.  Some say NVDA is very good, but I have never tried it.  It is a free program though, although, they do accept donations.

Hi all,
I know there's the bdu list, but are there any other general lists for
discussing any/all braille displays? Even better are there any lists
specifically for users of Freedom Scientific's braille displays? Look forward to
any info anyone can provide me!!! Thanks Madison
