ACB has a list of services where you can get audio descriptive movies. Another good place is audio vault.net, or blindmicemegamall.com under movie vault. those are the resources I referred to, I’m sure there are others out there.

What other services can I try to locate to see if this movie is audio described whether if it’s via an app or website.

When I download Jaws 2022, does that mean I totally lose eloquence?  I bought it at one time and I was wondering if I can use that?  If not, where do I get the voices from?  Can I keep Jaws 2021 or will it get really outdated?  Sorry, I'm coming into this discussion late.

Hi Gene, apart from the differences you described, there are also some slight differences in how a few words are pronounced, as it seems that IBM slightly changed the dialect the synthesizer uses. The most notable difference, however, is that in ViaVoice TTS 6.6 and newer, IBM fixed over 300 words, including given names, cities, and other such things that were pronounced incorrectly in Eloquence. The version found on IBM's FTP is version 6.7.3.2, which contains all of IBM's latest corrections.

Seems to me IBM via voice and Code Factory eloquence is the same.

I’ve bought code factory b years ago but wonder fi I needed to do that?

I could just used IBM via voice instead.

My experience is that invitations that intend people to call in have that information below the Internet login information.  also phone numbers are given in the message.  Not all organizers intend for people to call in.  that may be the case here.  To be sure, perhaps you might ask the organizer.

Pamela, I don't know how your company is setting up its Zoom meetings.  That
said, the general norm for Zoom is for you to find the link you received,
click on it and the meeting should launch with the MEETING ID and RELEVANT
PASSCODE automatically entered for you.

Sometimes, if the link is rather long, there could be a spill over to the
next line.  In that circumstance, copy the link to the Clipboard, launch
Notepad, WordPad or Word, use Ctrl-V to paste the link, carefully read
through it one character at a time, then delete the extra unneeded space.
Next, copy the new link to the Clipboard, launch your browser of choice, and
press Ctrl-L to open the address bar, then Ctrl-V to paste the Clipboard
content and whack <enter>.  The Zoom meeting should launch with no qualms.

Perhaps the above is a rather long process:  No problem; carefully read the
message received, look for the MEETING ID which can be a string of ten
numbers and write it down somewhere; then find the MEETING PASSCODE,
typically six digits long, and write that down somewhere as well.  Next,
launch your preferred browser and type:

Zoom.us/join

Then click on the LAUNCH MEETING button, type in the MEETING ID, whack
<enter>; wait a moment, then type in the PASSCODE and you should be good to
go.

I hope I made sense thus far.  If not, please YELL AT ME and I'll try again.

So I did not like the windows utility to burn cds in to mp3s. Is there another program that one can suggest. I find the windows version turns it in to tracks, not mp3 files. Maybe I did not use the utility program that comes with 10 right. Thanks Heather

Hi, another source for audio books is all you can books:

This is also a service that you pay for monthly. I have been using it for a couple of months now. You can try it for 30 days free and you get to download as many books as you like. Once you download a book you can keep it even after you leave the service.

Having an audible membership also entitles you to some really decent sales. I must have purchased 25 books last week during the two for one sale.

Hi, Monte, I only get one free book with my $15 payment to Audible. But if I want, I can buy others at a discounted price. I don't do this often, though. Instead, if I see a book I want, I add it to my wish list and buy it when my credit comes out, usually about the 20th of the month. I hope that answers your question.

Hi Shelly:

There is no reason to believe that jaws 2022 will not include eloquence.

Hi Group:

They sound either the same or just about identical.  There are technical differences.  Eloquence doesn’t make any registry entries.  Via Voice makes at least one.  This may have implications about using Via Voice portably.  I don’t know what other technical differences may exist.

What’s the difference between via voice and eloquence? They both sound the same.

Seems to me IBM via voice and Code Factory eloquence is the same.

I’ve bought code factory b years ago but wonder fi I needed to do that?

I could just used IBM via voice instead.

Unless I get convincing evidence that the version of Eloquence being discussed is legal, I will lock the thread if the discussion continues.  I have no objection to Via Voice being discussed because I have seen convincing devidence that IBM has made it publicly available.

Hi there

I have just been following the thread

Is this eloquence compatible with any version of Jaws for example 2021?

well seeing as how the internet archive only permits stuff on their site which is *"legal" no *"illegal" stuff is allowed on internet archive, at any rate I will just send links off list through private email.
