Re: Paypal or Vemo?

I prefer PayPal; for no reason at all, but only that I havve been a member for about 22 years. Like everyone else, they are constantly "improving" their website. That doesn't mean they're making it better--especially for us. There have been times that the site has been difficult to navigate, but, all in all, it works OK here using windows 10, Chrome, and NVDA.

ACB has a list of services where you can get audio descriptive movies. Another good place is audio vault.net, or blindmicemegamall.com under movie vault. those are the resources I referred to, I’m sure there are others out there.

Hi, I’ve noticed not every service like Netflix, hulu, etc. that all movies have audio description. What do you folks do when there is a movie you really like to watch but after looking at 3 different services, in my case, amazon prime video, hbo max and Netflix, none of those provide audio description. What other services can I try to locate to see if this movie is audio described whether if it’s via an app or website.

Re: Finding Passcode for Zoom Meeting
Gene
My experience is that invitations that intend people to call in have that
information below the Internet login information. also phone numbers are
given in the message. Not all organizers intend for people to call
in. that may be the case here. To be sure, perhaps you might ask the
organizer.

That said, the general norm for Zoom is for you to find the link you received, click on it and the meeting should launch with the MEETING ID and RELEVANT PASSCODE automatically entered for you. Sometimes, if the link is rather long, there could be a spill over to the next line. In that circumstance, copy the link to the Clipboard, launch Notepad, WordPad or Word, use Ctrl-V to paste the link, carefully read through it one character at a time, then delete the extra unneeded space. Next, copy the new link to the Clipboard, launch your browser of choice, and press Ctrl-L to open the address bar, then Ctrl-V to paste the Clipboard content and whack <enter>. The Zoom meeting should launch with no qualms. Perhaps the above is a rather long process: No problem; carefully read the message received, look for the MEETING ID which can be a string of ten numbers and write it down somewhere; then find the MEETING PASSCODE, typically six digits long, and write that down somewhere as well. Next, launch your preferred browser and type: Zoom.us/join Then click on the LAUNCH MEETING button, type in the MEETING ID, whack <enter>; wait a moment, then type in the PASSCODE and you should be good to go. I hope I made sense thus far. If not, please YELL AT ME and I'll try again. Have fun zooming! Sincerely, Olusegun Denver, Colorado

Re: need cd help
Sharon S
Hi, some do get named and sometimes they are rather random names. I have had CD’s that come up with a name that has nothing to do with the book it is from.
This isn’t an issue for me since I know what the book is so I just rename it myself.
Bye for now. From Shaz. Canberra, Australia.

I’ve seen messages on a list recently from someone who said CDEX no longer names tracks while ripping them because the data base it used is no longer online. My recollection from when I briefly used CDEx years ago, is that at that time, you could choose from two data-bases. What is the situation today regarding CDEX naming tracks?

Hello, I have more cds that I want to put on my pc as mp3s. However, I have not done this for a long time, long time. The last program I used was easy cd creator, I think like 4 or 5 version back in 2010 or 2011.I think it was a paid program and does not work with windows10. So I did not like the windows utility to burn cds in to mp3s. Is there another program that one can suggest. I find the windows version turns it in to tracks, not mp3 files. Maybe I did not use the utility program that comes with 10 right. Thanks Heather

I wish jaws would bring back support for sapi4, and also for decTalk access32 software. NVDA supports both of these, so I don't know why Jaws dropped support and removed them from Jaws itself.
