Re: FYI:Speech Central now free for Blind

Wow! I wish I'd known about this last year before I purchased Voice Dream Reader. But then again, does Speech Central also play audio Daisy and mp3 files? I'll definitely keep it in mind in case somebody asks me about a free IOS app for reading Bookshare books.

Thank you for the help. I e-mailed them and should

Okay, I will contact them and see if they can do their form differently. I know in the past, it had been accessible but, I did not think about the person who puts the form in. Heather

Heather,
If it's the form I think it is then it is accessible with JAWS and NVDA. When you click on the link to bring up the form from the email you will need to arrow down until it says something like "press enter for screen readers" or "press enter for accessibility" or something similar. Once you do that you need to arrow down to the part where you accept signing digitally. After that every thing you need to initial or sign on the document is simply pressing enter on that button. Hope this helps.

Re: DocuSign
heather albright
Yes, it seems to work online but, when I have to use the app over the phone, it has issues. That would make sense that the person who has the form has to make accessible. I am just not willing to take the word of a contractor if I cant read it and sign it myself. They are under the impression that I should just rely on my sighted roommate to read it and sign for me. Fat chance. I am not being difficult because I require everything to be accessible to me! Thanks Heather

Re: The EERO App

Hello, I do not see anything in the app for a night light! I am using the app now to see. But there is a settings tab and go to trouble shooting. You can e-mail them to ask or call them to ask and the number is in that location in the app. They are very good at getting back to you. Now, just wondering how to access the router online not threw the app. If one wanted to make changes that way. I cant seem to access the router this way say using jaws or NVDA. Has anyone been able to do this? Thanks Heather

I have just set up my eero mesh system and I'm using the phone app. Does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere in the app to turn off the night light that turns on automatically? I'm not finding it and I thought there was a way to turn it off.
Thank you.

It's a free-standing machine, like Ann said, with a Braille display. It has no speech, has an SD slot, as well as a USB connection and space in the machine itself for Braille formated books.

Ekstrand, Pamela A. -ND
Hi Heather,
We have found it to be very accessible. As I recall, there is a button or link to tell it to enable accessibility, but after that it has worked well. We haven’t used it extensively for a couple of years, but my husband did get a document that he needed to sign that way a few days ago, and that worked fine.

I don't use a program like that. I simply have a .tif file of my signature which I insert where needed. It's so much simpler. Next time you have sighted help, sign a blank piece of paper, scan it and save it as a .tif file. Voila! Ann P. Original message:
