Troy, you might post an ad on one of the buy, sell, and trade lists, if someone has an old iPhone earbud set with the 3.5 mm connecter.

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there's an adapter that could be plugged into the earphone jack on my second generation Victor reader stream that has a lightning port on the other end that would allow me to use the earbuds I use with my iPhone in the Victor reader? If there is such an adapter what words would I use in a search to find it?

I am curious about this topic, so I did some research.

1. natively iphone or IOS does not come with an app or interface to accomplish what you want to do. they can only scan out of the camera itself. like on another QR code on another surface like on another screen, paper or whatever. they need the camera to look at first before they can go into the internet and retrieve what  the code wants you to do.

2. you can download a free app call qr code scanner, you can find something similar  on the appstore and accomplish  what you want to do. They allow you to take the screenshot from the photo gallery and scan from the picture itself.

Re: problem with outlook 2016

Outlook doesn’t close or outlook.exe process keeps running

Close Outlook button

It isn’t very common that Outlook doesn’t close on its own. Practically always this is caused by an add-in or another application which integrates with

Outlook. At that time, you’d usually see the outlook.exe process still running in Task Manager as well.

Once this troublesome add-in is disabled or updated or the other application is closed, the problem will be gone and Outlook will close normally again.

as for closing outlook,

sometime the program doesn't close properly,

instead of shutting machine down,

open, task manager,

ctrl+shift+escape key,

in the processes tab list, press the letter m until you find Microsoft outlook, and tab to end task button.

also, you may want to go back into options,

alt+f/t,

down arrow to mail, tab and uncheck the boxes, envelope icon in system tray, and desktop alert.

hope this helps.

Hi guys,

I've been dealing with this for a month now and it's starting to get frustrating.

In short here are my two issues.

1.

Outlook 2016 after sending an email, it sits in the outbox and will not send until I reboot and launch outlook.

2.

Speaking of launching outlook, when I alt f 4, when I try to go back into outlook via the taskbar or any other method, it doesn't open so I will need to reboot my system and then it will launch.

Using jfw 2020 and windows 10.

I need to reboot now so I can send this message.

You can get adapters with a female 3.5 mm jack on one end and a mail lightning connecter on the other, but I've not seen one with a female lightning connecter and mail 3.5 mm, which is what you are looking for. I don’t' know if they exist.

Hay how do I get rid of the sequence of files that ms word saves a copy of. I have 115 copies of the same file as word keeps saving it every time I make changes. That is great so you do not lose work but how to get rid of 114 files and keepjust one of the files? So when I go to create a new file, it does not say file 116. Thanks Heather

Re: problem with outlook 2016

I don’t know what is causing the problems.  Perhaps there is a way to repair the ;program.

Aside from that, my guess is that the reason you can’t open the program after you close it is because it doesn’t fully close.  I don’t know how the program is indicated in the task manager.  But if you close the program, then look in the task manager at the running processes, I wouldn’t be surprised if you find the exe file in the list.  If you do and if you close it using the task manager, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if you can run the program again.

Hi Marilyn,

You need to reset your View, Sort by and Group by settings while in the Recycle Bin folder.  Try the following:

1. Open the Recycle Bin folder and make sure nothing is selected.

2. Open the context menu by pressing your applications key or the keystroke, Shift + F10.

3. Down arrow to the, Group by submenu, and press enter or press the right arrow to open, navigate to, None, and press enter.
Note:  Pressing enter will choose the None option and take you out of the context menu.

4. Again make sure nothing is selected, open the context menu, and on the, View submenu, open it and press enter on, List.
Note:  Pressing enter will choose the List option and take you out of the context menu.

5. Again make sure nothing is selected, open the context menu, navigate to the, Sort by submenu, open it, and press enter on, Name.  You might have to go back into the, Context / Sort by, menu and make sure, Ascending, is checked as well.

You should now be done.
