Yes, make sure that
"Basic HTML"
is selected. Then go to
"Settings"
followed by
"Forwarding and POP/IMAP"
Choose the
"Enable POP for all mail"
radio button and in the
"When messages are accessed with POP"
combo box, make sure that
"delete Gmail's copy"
is selected.

I got on google a while ago and found a phone number that was supposedly for tech support, but when I called it the person who answered just gave his name and didn't say anything about gmail although when I asked he said that they do help with e-mail problems, but he wanted to remotely access my computer and I wasn't comfortable with that so I just hung up.

How would I get to my pop settings on gmail.com? I did delete my gmail account from outlook express and reentered it, so maybe there is a problem there since I did that.

Hello,
Quite possible, that that is your issue. With gmail, in the Basic HTML, you go settings, forwarding and POP IMAP, to view the stuff. Before I give the POP settings, though, you can not send or receive, or just receive?

Re: virtual machine questions

Carlos

Run Narrator on the virtual machine and then install JAWS as you normally would.  The guest operating system, in this case Windows 7, will only be running when you run the virtual machine.  Switching between the guest and host operating system while the virtual machine is running is dependent on the software you are using.  With VMware Player, I believe Control+Alt will escape the VM.  With VirtualBox, the right Control key should release ownership of the keyboard back to the host operating system.  It has been a while since I have used either one so I may not be remembering correctly or these shortcuts may have changed.

Yes, you can retrieve it with a key finder.  At that point, you would either have to:
1. Call Microsoft to have them reset your license which they might or might not be willing to do.  The virtual machine might not register as the same hardware so this step may be required.
2. Don't use that installation of 7 for 6 months.  If you don't use it for 6 months, then the license will supposedly automatically reset and you can use it in the virtual machine.

Some questions about Android

christopher hallsworth <challsworth2@...>

Evening everyone. This is Chris here.

I think I joined before, but left. Now I'm back, hopefully for good, because I want to watch Android development from an accessibility standpoint for the most part. For now though, I do have some questions.

I currently use iOS, and am happy with it, very much so. However, as a future change of scenary, I may be switching to Android, part or full time, depending on how I get on with a tablet, which I'm hoping to purchase in the January sales. I feel if I buy one on sale and I don't get on with it, at least I haven't paid full price and lost it all. Now then, from a fully accessible point of view, what tablets would you recommend? I've heard both Samsung Galaxy and Google Nexus devices are fully accessible as they run stock Android rather than one customized by third party providers. If there are any other manufacturers, please shout on here then I will do some investigating on my part, both on here and or on the web. I also heard gestures between VoiceOver on iOS and Talkback on Android are similar, but definitely! Not the same. Is this true? Also, what are the voices like in terms of quality? I am using Alex on all my iOS devices and am very happy with it as he fits in with my moderately severe to profound hearing loss. Finally, I heard to start Talkback for the first time either you place and hold two fingers on the screen until it talks or you triple click home, depending on what device you are using to start Talkback on for the first time. On iOs however, it's triple click home no matter the device. Again is this true? Are there any other ways we can start Talkback independently?

I appreciate these are a lot of questions, so the more you can answer the merrier. Thank you very much.

Android troubles with Moto E 2nd gen phone, unable to record searches, messages, and Whatsapp and all other stuff

Dear List,
I'm seriously wishing I could shoot my cell phone right now. ... For the past several days, I have been unable to text with voice input on my phone, unable to record Whatsapp messages, unable to search, what is wrong! I seriously do not know what the hell is wrong with my phone. Someone suggested settings, but what setting? I tried powering it on and off. I tried erasing crap and that did not help. I wonder if I either have a virus or I'm losing my head. Please help me. Thank you all for your patient reading of this message. My phone number, the home one, will be below. I can do all other things with my phone that has Android on it, but not the stuff that requires dictation and recording outside calling and all. This has just happened Christmas Day.

Hi all,

No, you do not need a key. You just plug in your Stream, turn it on and follow instructions to transfer content.

You can find the instructions in the SAM Net help under Support Portal, number 21 on the main menu of SAM Net. Go to the item that is called Audio Book Players. If you don't understand the instructions, give me a shout.
