hello all. yesterday i updated from my eye phone 4s to a eye phone 6 16 gb. i was able to install alex and got the people at the stor to ristor my phone from my eye clowd backup. the only ishu i seem to have is that i am no longer getting notifications on my phone on the lock screen or anywair elts it seems. now i have not checked the nodification senter but i mostley would have my phone give me notifications on the lock screen. now i have gone in to notifications on my phone and have them set to alerts and not banners. some of these were set to banners and not alerts. now i do have the badges on them set to on so should i turn off these? since for instince the braking news app every time there was braking news i would get a alert on my phone there would be a noise and then vo would read to me what the braking news was or what ever the notification is. now i am not getting this since doing the update. many thanks for any help any one can give me regarding this. from Mich.

Actually, that change just refers  to the underline/underscore symbol, not to the formatting of words, or of passages of text, which (I believe) was what was being queried.

For information on mounting drives/sharing folders, see this article.
As for copying and pasting, based on everything I am seeing, in VirtualBox it only works for sharing text and not for transferring files at this point.  Sorry I can't help much more, but I don't use VirtualBox very often so I forget a lot of this stuff.  Reviewing the documentation and some Google searches might provide more information.

You will have to mount the drives in the virtual machine and you may also have to enable copy/paste functionality between guest/host in the virtual machine software settings.  The specifics really depend on what virtual machine software you are using.

Happy newyear to all on the list.  I had windows 7 64 bit installed on a virtual machine on my windows 10 64 bit laptop.  I managed to show the hidden files and folders.  How ever I can't see the external hard drives that are connected to the windows 10 laptop.  Of course they show up in windows 10 it self.  I would also like them to show up in windows 7.  How can I acomplish this?  Lets say, I copied a file to the clipboard in windows 10 I want to paste it in the downloads folder of the windows 7 virtual machine.  How is this done?  When I press control C to copy to the clipboard of windows 10 that goes fine.  I can not seem to paste with control ve.

Briefly, I had a mild stroke and it affected my balance. I was lucky. The stroke didn't affect my mind and I have no paralysis. I got some rehabilitation for my balance and it's better but it may limit my mobility. We'll see, it's too early to say anything definite about that.
I wouldn't ordinarily send a message about such matters to the list but since I'm a moderator, I thought people would be curious why I disappeared after being active from the inception of the list.
