Re: looking for viper 2014 anti virus and viper 2014 internet security installers.

Smiling?

This is a message that was sent a little more than a year ago (which
fortunately for you, the links below still work. the registry patch files
are temporary though):

Remember, as I indicated in Saturday night's message, none of the protection
modules are turned on by
default, so this means that one will have to go into the VIPRE settings
dialog box, and turn on active
protection, the email protection and the firewall protection, if this
applies.

Of course, installing either of the two VIPRE 2014 software packages, still
means, that without running
the reg patches, u will run the risk of getting 2015 at some point, so I
sent the reg patches from VIPRE yesterday (these reg patches have been
reuploaded), and today, here are the two installers for both VIPRE antivirus
and the more comprehensive VIPRE internet security 2014.

VIPRE Antivirus 2014:
https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/t6qfbv

VIPRE Internet Security 2014:
https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/tp1enp

VIPRE prompt and no prompt registry patches (temporary link):

warning about webroot

Ann Parsons <akp@...>

Morning all,

I just saw a thorough and quite troubling post on another list from Ray Campbell. He installed a security program called webroot Security and it totally compromised his Window-Eyes screen reader. Apparently, the program is not very accessible in the first place, and it also thinks that WE is a virus, so it disables WE and you can't do anything. I didn't forward Ray's complete message because I don't have permission to do so yet, but he says to avoid webroot at all costs if you are running Window-Eyes.

I don't know what it does with any other screen reader, but I suggest great caution when deciding to take on this virus checker. If I get permission, I'll repost Ray's message here. I just figured folks ought to know the score as soon as possible. those of you who know Ray Campbell know that he ran the national technical help desk for the blind for several years. He's not just any old techie. So, I'd pay attention if I were thee, folks.

Re: windows 10 and add and remove program

Yes there are a few utilities which can serve as replacements like MyUninstaller
or Revo Uninstaller,
but most of them have their own little issues like not being able to simply press Enter while an item is selected to start the uninstallation process.

Hi, is there add and remove program application that can be installed to use instead of the native add and remove programs ? Something that is accessible with a screen reader? I just don’t like the add and remove in windows10 ! It also has accessibility issues as well.

Every time I think I might want to go to windows 10 for my main OS something else comes up that is basic stuff that has accessibility problems to it.

Hi,

If you go into chicken nugget’s edit keyboard command manager area and add a control to all of the alt/win key combos then they’ll work better in global mode. Mine is running just fine once again here under Windows 10.

I hope that helps.

The control windows key combo left and right arrows to move from timeline to timeline does not work, have to use ault windows. When I try to use the key strokes that the keyboard manager suggests to use, they don’t work either.

Does anyone know of another accessible program  to use instead?

Hi,
that was funny I giggle from your turn of phrase.  by me the sequence is control, win, alt and the letter b for browse. the only problem with remapping its keys is you forget which were its default and which ones you composed yourself but either way I hope that gets you going (smile).

Many toolbars can be uninstalled from Programs and Features like any
other software so you should try removing them using that method
first. If that fails or the toolbar does not have an uninstall entry,
you can try Junkware Removal Tool http://thisisudax.org/ as a last
resort. Note that it will close down all processes including your
screen reader. Just restart it using the associated keyboard
shortcut.

Free Football Radio Issues

Ron Canazzi

Hi Group,

I posted this on another list, but I see it has been queried on this list as well.

As of this writing, 9:00 pm est 01/04/2016, I am getting this web hosting service on the free football radio site and after all their ads and nonsense, it says the site you seek is temporarily out of service. It asks the web master to contact the web hosting people directly. When you click on that contact link, you get a user name and password request.

In my opinion, this means one of two things:
1. Free football didn't pay it's bill
2. Free football got shut down for encouraging free football.
