Re: require suggestion to purchase a windows 8.1 or 10 32 bit tablat
Marie <magpie.mn@...>
I recently purchased an Asus 13 inch laptop running Windows 8.1 for around aa$700 and I am delighted with it. It only has a 256 SSD drive but I bought a 1 TB external drive for around $80 so I keep most of my files, music, books, etc on it to save the internal drive for necessary programs. It is the Zen Book Ultra and is so light an thin, I think it may be lighter and thinner than most tablets once you connect the keyboard. I did not get the touch screen because I am a keyboard user and probably always will be. You can get a two in one which doubles as a tablet or a laptop but, of course that adds to the price. There are lots of choices and everyone is different so good luck and I hope you find the machine that works best for you. One word of advice which you seem to be doing is to do your homeworkd before deciding and don't get in too big a hurry.

SanDisk iXpand flash drive
Walter Ramage
Hi all. This is just a bit of information for your future reference if it is required. iStick is a flash drive that can be used for transferring files from and to both PC and Apple products such as the iPhone. This iStick is accessible and usable by the blind but I discovered that SanDisk have their own version of this called iXpand. However I was unable to tell if this product was accessible and so just over a week ago I wrote to SanDisk and asked them. Their response is below and I have just received it in the last 20 minutes. The upshot is the SanDisk iXpand flash drive is not accessible on apple products. There email is pasted below. Walter.
Recently you requested personal assistance from our on-line support center. Below is a summary of your request and our response.
If this issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may reopen it within the next 21 days.
Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

Discussion Thread Response Via Email (Aliona I.) 09/11/2015 04:44 PM Dear Walter,
I would like to inform you that we have tested iXpand Sync app with VoiceOver feature of Apple iOS, and some basic functions of application do not work properly. You will be able to access main menu of application; however it is not possible to select files manually or access drop down menu which limit usage of iXpand flash drive. I apologize for any inconvenience this issue may cause you.
We remain at your disposal for any further assistance.
Best regards,

Re: Intro and internet explorer question
Michael <mike122061@...>
Hello,
The first thing that you might want to check, is to see that your pop up
blocker is turned on. Open the tools menu by pressing Alt + T, then arrow down
to Pop Up Blocker and press enter on this as well. Now, press enter once more if
it reads Turn Pop Up Blocker On.
Another solution would be to run an Ad Ware cleaner such as ADW Cleaner and
this will remove many pop ups from your computer. One of these solutions should
stop this behavior.

question Hello list
My name is Fanus Buys and I live in South
Africa.
I have a problem with IE10 in that when I open a
site many times a mail voice pops up wanting to tell me how to make much money.
I can not figure out where it comes from and it is louder than the jaws voice,
so it is difficult to hear jaws. Is there a keystroke to block this guy from
interpheering?
I hope this is not off topic and if so, I am sorry
but I do not know where to ask.
Regards

Then we noticed that even using narrator some parts are not very accessible. The girl in Tech support FS told me that if narrator is not reading that part, it means that the problem is not of jaws, it is an accessibility problem of Microsoft.Days before Freedom Scientific told me that the spelling dialog in word 2013 is not accessible. Also the signature dialog in outlook 2013 is not accessible either. So I am a little bit confused because I noticed these problems that FS told me, but I notice that the degree of accessibility in another areas is very different in each computer. Why this level of accessibility change in each computer? On 9/11/15, Ann Parsons <akp@samobile.net> wrote: Hi all, This shouldn't be happening, especially with Jaws and 2013. Re: Programs to clean the computer whether free or expensive

Another cleaning utility worth mentioning is
Junkware Removal Tool.
It is fairly automated and now seems to be
supported by Malwarebytes Corporation. Although it is worth noting that
like DWCleaner, it will shut down all running applications including your screen
reader.

hi,

it does not reboot automaticly. You need to bring your screen reader back and hit the ok button twice after cleaning is complete. Note that this can take 3-4 minutes with a highly trashed computer

Re: Intro and internet explorer question
Carlos
Hi Fanus,
I don't currently have the Pro version installed so
I can't be sure, but I believe it does perform a scheduled scan. However,
it is possible that by default the scheduled scan is only a quick/flash scan
which does not scan the entire drive. If so, you may wish to perform a
full scan manually. A full scan is more thorough and may find things that
a quick scan will not.
