Hi Gene,
I know how to use it, and it does work, it is on, too, but I'd have to revert it too far back, for it to worth it.

Why did you say system restore doesn't apply? Are you saying it is turned off or you haven't figured out how to run more than one restore point and that point doesn't go far enough back?

So, I have a few things that I've installed, and now want to uninstal,
but, I get errors like this and that file couldn't be found, with another
one, the uninstall option doesn't even appear. Tried a quick google
search, but those all just say restore point, and that I should look for
an uninstaller, which, don't apply here. Does anyone have some ideas?

You can access System Restore by typing
system restore
into the Start menu search field or by pressing Windows key+R to open the
"Run"
dialog and typing
rstrui
followed by Enter.

What if, for example, they were installed 4 weeks ago, you tried to remove them a week ago, and it's not working? Reverting it that far back could be a little risky... Would Looking them up in the registry work?

Re: A Question about Hearing Aids

Carolyn Arnold

Robb, try calling:

877-572-9428 -Hear Better or go to hearbetter.com.

If you call, you can talk to someone about the various
brands like Dr. Paul's, Siemens and others. I believe they
can adjust them, if you get a copy of your audiogram and
send it to them or email or fax it to them. You should get a
set for anywhere from two to five hundred dollars, maybe a
little less.

Bye for now,

I don't know if this is because they get kick backs from the

If you don't get a solution, you could go back to the
previous version. I don't see any reason just to update
because there is a new version if it has no improvements you
want nor any new features you are interested in. You can
read about what's new on the FS web site when an update
comes out.

And I consider it a much better idea to upgrade by running
the full new version installer. That way, you still have
the older version in case there is a bug or problem with the
new version. You can then use the old version when doing
something where it works well and the new version doesn't.

I should add that I haven't used JAWS for a long time and I
don't know if the update feature allows you to keep the old
version. If it does, you could do that instead. I seldom
or perhaps never used the upgrade feature so others can
comment on that.

Taylor talking bathroom scales

Walter Ramage

Hi guys.  Since the first of May I've been on a weight loss regime.  I have a pair of talking bathroom scales that give me an indication of my weight but like most bathroom scales are not known for accuracy.  These scales were only around £35 but although it gives me an indication of weight loss, I'm never sure of what weight I actually am as I get different readings each time I get on.  It is very sensitive to position; if you stand towards the top you get one weight, if you stand nearer the back you get another reading and if you stand in the middle you get yet another.  The same goes if you stand with your feet together or apart.  Even position and the surface they are on has an effect as does the humidity level.  In other words trying to get an accurate reading is as difficult as winning the lottery; you get lots of numbers but which is the winning one.

As a result of this I've decided to invest in a much more accurate pair of scales but the price is very much higher.  I speak of the Taylor talking scale and apart from being pretty accurate (not to medical standards) they are stylish also but that's lost on me.  These scales are £138 plus shipping but according to an independent review, they are very good and gives you consistent readings regardless where you stand on the platform.  The reason for this post is to ask if anybody on the list has a pair of these scales? and what you think of them.  Going back to the scales I have here; the difference between standing toward the front of the scale and the back and I'm only talking about an inch or so was 10.5 pounds so you might understand why I have little confidence in them  Of course, the voice is female and as with all females, you never get an accurate figure when you ask about weight.  Walter.

Re: i want to import my address book from my windows 7 lap top running windows mail to my windows 10 lap top running windows live mail can this be dun? and if so how?

Press the function key and issue the command control f3.  I am not saying there isn't another way to get to the address book part of the program, but I don't know any other way.  As far as I know, you must be in the address book to be able to import addresses.  If necessary, and I haven't tried this, but because of the awkwardness of trying to issue commands when holding the fn key, you could try temporarily taping the fn key down.

Move to the address book.  Use Control f3 to move to it.
Press alt and when the ribbon opens start tabbing.
You will find an import and an export item.  I don't recall the exact wording used.  If you have trouble finding it, ask here.

As is common in e-mail programs, moving to or opening the item you want to work with and then looking through ribbons or menus, will show you items that are not shown when you are in another part of the program.

To return to the main part of the program, use control f1.

Re: repeating a track in winamp

Gene

If you are playing a playlist, tracks won't repeat.  The entire playlist will repeat when it's over.  If you are playing only one track, it will repeat if repeat is on.  Enter doesn't cause a track to start again from the beginning.  If you are in a file list and want to play a song over pressing enter will cause it to start over because you are telling Windows to play the song again, just as you told it to play it in the first place.  If you are in Winamp, pressing x will play the currently playing song from the beginning again.  or, of course, stopping the player and pressing x will as well.

Repost: As Concerns Tune In And NFL Football

Ron Canazzi

I received several suggestions that I use Tune In for NFL Football games but when I asked for some information, I didn't hear back from anyone. Therefore I am posting this request again.

Hi Group,

With my quandary over the NFL Game Pass site, people have suggested that I subscribe to Tune In Premium for NFL football. I have a few questions.

1. Do you get all the games both home and away broadcasts every week?

2. Do you get any archives or replays?

3. Do you get preseason or post season games?

Thanks for any information.
