Re: Has Anyone Used YoutubeBLG and Does It Work For You?
Hi Carlos,
I love Free Make, but it also installs some other unwanted stuff
and the last few times I updated, unchecky wasn't able to stop or
uncheck the appropriate check boxes. I then had to use Revo or
some other software to remove the unwanted stuff. It's a nice
program despite that.

I don't think you should. After all, it's a portable
version.
if you did, you would have to have a setting to let
things run as they do now or not to do so and I don't
think the complication is worth the ability to change the
output folder. It's easy enough to open the folder and
move the file.

Yes. The launcher does this every time the program
starts for the sake of portability and because the
controls to configure the default folder are not very
accessible. I suppose I could work on this so the folder
configured by the user in the settings file would be
retained, but it just wasn't that important to me.

The controls for changing the default
download folder are not accessible. Also,
remember that this version is supposed to be
portable so the launcher configures a
subdirectory in the root folder of the program
named
"Downloads"
as the default. The only bitrates and
formats which are available are the ones listed
in the
"Output Preset"
combo box, at least in the free version. The
bitrates and formats listed here should be
sufficient for most users.

Yes, but I believe the premium version may allow
you to add your own presets to the list. Although again the controls for
doing so are probably not accessible.

one executes after entering said code least not with any screen reader I

The controls for changing the default download
folder are not accessible. Also, remember that this version is
supposed to be portable so the launcher configures a subdirectory in the
root folder of the program named
"Downloads"
as the default. The only bitrates and
formats which are available are the ones listed in the
"Output Preset"

The bitrates and formats listed here should be sufficient for most

I was just playing with the program and its even
easier to open the output folder than I realized. The item is in the menus
so you don't have to tab around to it. Just press alt, right arrow once,
down arrow once and press enter.

if you did, you would have to have a setting to
let things run as they do now or not to do so and I don't think the
complication is worth the ability to change the output folder. It's easy
enough to open the folder and move the file.

if you did, you would have to have a setting to let
things run as they do now or not to do so and I don't think the complication is
worth the ability to change the output folder. It's easy enough to open
the folder and move the file.

Yes. The launcher does this every time the
program starts for the sake of portability and because the controls to configure
the default folder are not very accessible. I suppose I could work on this
so the folder configured by the user in the settings file would be
retained, but it just wasn't that important to me.

I just tried changing the output folder because I
got more curious. But the setting was replaced in the file with the
original setting and the file was downloaded to the original location.
My guess, and obviously you would know, Carlos, is that at least that setting
is written to the file every time the program is run.

I suppose you could change some of these

can open in notepad. There is more than one but you'll know the right
one when you open it. I don't know the effects of altering this file

Hi,
I don’t think that the presets are any different in the premium user
version though I can’t say for sure as no screen reader can find the button
one executes after entering said code least not with any screen reader I
possess. but if I ever get it activated for sure I’ll surely update.

The controls for changing the default download
folder are not accessible. Also, remember that this version is
supposed to be portable so the launcher configures a subdirectory in the
root folder of the program named
"Downloads"
as the default. The only bitrates and
formats which are available are the ones listed in the
"Output Preset"
combo box, at least in the free version.
The bitrates and formats listed here should be sufficient for most
users.

I don’t think that the presets are any different in the premium user
version though I can’t say for sure as no screen reader can find the button one
executes after entering said code least not with any screen reader I possess.
but if I ever get it activated for sure I’ll surely update.

The controls for changing the default download
folder are not accessible. Also, remember that this version is supposed to
be portable so the launcher configures a subdirectory in the root folder of the
program named
"Downloads"
as the default. The only bitrates and formats
which are available are the ones listed in the
"Output Preset"
combo box, at least in the free version. The
bitrates and formats listed here should be sufficient for most
users.

you to add your own presets to the list. Although again the controls for

Hi All,
A friend is having the following issues, & can anyone make any suggestions on how to fix the problems below?
using JAWS 16, I've been experiencing some weird behavior lately. in a slightly higher pitch, JAWS will spontaneously say the number of blank spaces followed by a pause before some text within a sentence and sometimes at the end of a sentence.
JAWS will also speak in a deeper and slower voice, like when JAWS runs out of breath when reading a long continuous stream of words.
for example: after Bellarc Advisor finishes it's updating and analyzing and finally displays it's report, reviewing line by line, JAWS will say 3 spaces, The information on this page was created locally on your computer by the Belarc Advisor. 3 spaces, Your computer profile, 3 spaces, was not sent to a web server. Copyright, (deep and slow voice), 2000-2016, back to normal voice), Belarc, Inc... All rights reserved.
reloading JAWS does not clear up this occurrence.. it happens on no particular website and reading local HTML documents. I think this is only happening to me and not a wide spread issue.
I've checked the text analyzer setting in the default and browser configuration settings in settings center. it is off. I've also checked my speech and sounds scheme, which is set to classic. unloading and starting JAWS with default settings clears up the above problem, but starting JAWS normally exhibits the problems, but the configuration settings are no different as opposed to when the problem occurs.
any suggestions as what to do to troubleshoot this annoyance?
Take care. Mike Sent from my iBarstool.

Mike,
I believe there’s a Microsoft .net Framework file that now gets in the way
of JAWS repairs; so you have to uninstall the current .net framework amnd
install an older version. (Microsoft will try to update it the first chance it
gets or during Windows update.) That was the explanation that made most sense to
me, when I had been asked to runm the repair in pursuit of diagnosing a problem
between JAWS and Braille drivers. (It actually was a physical connectivity
problem on the braille display, but the deniers were then in vogue. Anyhow,
countless attempts at JAWS repair yielded nada at any rate. )
His solution might be to completely uninstall JAWS; then do a clean
reinstall.

Where are the OK buttons for the dialogues in settings? I just
don't see them with NVDA latest version.

Hi Carlos,
Using NVDA, Free Youtube to MP3 converter that you referenced is
not accessible. Nothing is read at all with the review cursor and I
cannot find an OK button in tab order under settings or any other
place. I assume you are using JAWS?

I am using YouTube DLG and although it
does not have as many options as other downloaders, I am finding
that it is very nice. I like the speed and quality of the
downloads. And the interface is simple and
accessible.
I can post a link if you're
interested.

Why not use the program Carlos made
available in a portable version,
FreeYouTubeToMP3Converter. Of course, assuming the
latest version is still accessible, you could use the
nonportable version as well. I'm not sure if the link
Carlos used for the program is still available. I'll let
others comment on that.

Hi Group,
I downloaded and
installed a program called Youtube BLG--a program that is
supposed to convert Youtube videos to alternative forms such
as MP3. It seems fairly accessible, but when I copy
and paste the address into the address bar in the program
and click convert, it just hangs.
Is anyone else on
list using this program and if so, how does it work for
you?

Hi Mike, Isn't insert-space-jaws-space, the one you said the other way, puts it to factory settings for good? Is that just temporary?

Hi Rajmund, I know of a couple of ways to take Jaws back to factory defaults. 1 way is to remove everything in Manage Applications & the other way is to permanently delete everything from the ENU folder, after backing it up of course. Or, removing it & reinstalling. Are you considering a differt way? If so, which way? Take care. Hi Mike, But why not just factory reset it, rather than repairing it? Clearly, since it doesn't happen when in factory settings, it's a setting. So might as well reset JAWS, and put his settings back on it.

Hi Rajmund, I don't know what method the dude used to repair / reset his version of Jaws. He says that running Jaws in default mode makes his problem go away, but then he says that repairing doesn't help. Sound like he's not repairing correctly because repairing Jaws correctly should take it back to factory settings! Sound like maybe he has some settings left in his ENU folder or something. Take care. Hi Guys, But won't that factory reset it, anyway? WHEN I tried it just for the sakes of it, because I had nothing better to do, that's what it did. I might be wrong, however. If it does, wouldn't the guy just be able to factory reset, without repairing?

I can not remember the exact steps but it needs to be repaired, and not by just the simple repair, but a repair string needs to be typed in the run dialog box along with the latest jaws 16 exicutible. Need to download the jaws 16 latest for their device, and then call tech support and they will walk you through it. From: main@TechTalk.groups.io [mailto:main@TechTalk.groups.io] On Behalf Of Mike B. Sent: December 29, 2016 09:42 To: main@TechTalk.groups.io Subject: [TechTalk] Unexpected Jaws Verbalizations Hi All, A friend is having the following issues, & can anyone make any suggestions on how to fix the problems below? using JAWS 16, I've been experiencing some weird behavior lately. in a slightly higher pitch, JAWS will spontaneously say the number of blank spaces followed by a pause before some text within a sentence and sometimes at the end of a sentence.
