Hi Marie, if you go to the website, and then go to your profile once you have logged in with your username and the password. There is a Area in there where you can remove the current email address, and in turn the new one. Then click the button that says change email, and then it will email you to your new email address you will replied, and then everything will be confirmed. I hope this helps.

Hi Howard,

You don't need the tablet to use the Echo. You can set it up using an
internet browser on your computer by visiting alexa.amazon.com

Yes, it responds to your voice. It's not SIRI, it's Amazon's own assistant.

If you get the Echo Dot you can connect it to Bluetooth speakers or
use a cable to connect it to your stereo.

you can learn a lot about the Echo here:

Hello Howard,
I own an Amazon Echo Dot and I also own an Amazon Fire HD 7 tablet. The
Dot is pretty nice, it's easy to connect to Wifi. I used my tablet to
connect it, (though you can download the app from the Google Play Store or

Appstore as well). It did take me a few attempts to set up the Dot, but
in the end, I was very successful. I love the Dot so much! It's a very
cheap device, costing at around $50, U.S. It can play Pandora, Spotify,
Tune In, audiobooks, and so much more. I haven't used all of the
features, but from what I used of it, I was pretty impressed. You can
also enable different skills for your Amazon Echo Dot, there are thousands

of them, I only have about fifteen or twenty of them enabled. They have
different games, they have some quote stuff, news, just about anything you

can imagine. Only part I don't like about the Dot, I can't play YouTube
videos on it, I really hope that Amazon implements that some day in a
newer skill or release. I just think it would be extremely neat to just
voice command it and tell it to play a certain video by a certain artist
on YouTube. I also cannot have it read my emails, which kind of sucks,
but it doesn't turn me off from it. Although, to be quite honest, I
haven't used it in almost a month, but I got it for Christmas. Sorry this

email was long, but I thought I ought to give you everything I know about

it.
Thanks,

Help needed opening .dox file

Nancy Hill

Hi All, I will be getting .doc files from church and I am having trouble figuring out how to open them.

I am using win 7, jaws 16 and I have Office 2013 on my PC.

When I hit enter on the doc file the body of the message does not appear...rather I get a bunch of stuff that sounds like it must be related to Word ribbons or something like that and I am not smart enough to figure out how to open the file so I can read it. I have no clue what to do.

Would some kind person tell me how to get to the actual file so I can read it?

Many, many Thanks.

Hi

I seem to be experiencing some troubles when trying to use some usb hard
drives on my windows 10 pro pc. I recently purchased two toshiba usb drives.
On the rear of my pc I have 6 usb ports, in two I keep two short usb
extension cables which I have near the rear of my keyboard to make it easier
for me to find and get to the usb ports for connecting usb hard drives. I
have noticed recently some of my usb hard drives are not working when I plug
them in to either of these cables but other drives or usb thumb drives do.
The two new ones I got only work when I plug them in to the two usb ports on
the front of my pc. I am not sure what is causing this problem. Is there a
limit to how many usb power hubs you can connect at once? Any ideas what is
causing this issue please?s

I'm not sure why the drive isn't being listed, but for now you could always just save the image to the internal drive and then copy it to the external one afterwards.

wasn't able to select a usb drive, only the internal spare 500 gb hard
drive. This is the drive I had previously used when creating an ifw back-up.
I wanted to change it. I wasn't able to find it on the list. Any ideas

I'm running Windows 7, so perhaps someone else who's using it can answer
this: should there be a Documents and Settings folder on my C-disk? I
*think* that I may have copied this folder from my old computer when I got
this one, but the weird thing is that as I make changes, the various files
in the folder are being updated and this is in addition to updates being
made in the Windows 7 folders where updates should be made. The folder
contains what appear to be duplicates of the contents of the Users folder,
but if I remove it, I'm afraid that the result will be that what's in Users
will be deleted and I definitely don't want that to happen. Any suggestions
or advice?

names in Outlook contacts.

If this search works like the search in Windows Live mail
and like the search in the Windows start menu, you don't
have to waste time and effort typing full contact names.
Just type what you think will get you the name without a lot
of extraneous results. If this is a very common name or the
partial choices you might use might produce a lot of
results, then typing the full name might be the best option.
But it is often not necessary to type anywhere near the full
name. for example, typing smi will show you all results
containing the letters smi. So SJohn Smithers would come
up, as well as John Smith or if someone were named Smile
Jones, which is very unlikely but it illustrates the point,
you would see that name since you would see names containing
smi anywhere in the name.

But let's say you know you only have one smith and a lot of
people named John in the contacts. Typing smi if you only
have one or two smis will show you the result you want. Or
typing smith would only show you the one result you want.
Typing just John would show you every John result and
Johnson, if there is one. So a bit of thought can save you
a lot of typing and looking through extraneous results.

the same is true in the Windows start menu search. I so
seldom use my lap top online that I haven't bothered to
create a short cut command for opening Windows Live Mail. I
just type the word mail in the start menu. I only have one
program with the word mail so I immediately am placed on the
correct result. Typing Windows or live or Windows Live
produce more results.

I got one year of Office 365 free with my Surface and this includes 1 TB of space on One Drive. I had not used it before but am learning now. This is probably a silly question but I want to make sure that all documents will be available via wifi when I am away from home and not just when on my home network. I am fairly certain this is the case but just double checking.

It seems a bit easier to work on documents, etc when using One Drive than when on Drop Box for some reason.    Marie
