Gmail contacts question

Marie <magpie.mn@...>

On the web site I was checking my contact list and found there were over 300 contacts. It is adding contacts for replies to different lists and I do not want this done. Does anyone know how to stop this particular function? When I deleted the unwanted entries, I had around 100 good contacts and I prefer to add what I want myself instead of having Gmail add them.
Thanks, Marie

Re: Malware Bytes on pc start-up

John Gregory <stratplayer@...>

Hi Jeff,

Not entirely sure what might be happening, but have you tried ‘deactivating’ and then ‘reactivating’ again? It may be something to do with the activation process as when you ‘deactivate’ the software reverts to ‘free’ and there is no realtime protection. If this doesn’t work, then I would suggest emailing MB support at ‘support@...’.

Good luck.

John.

Hello All,

A question that has confounded me since the installation of the new and current version of Malware Bytes.  On PC boot-up, I will always get a window saying that "Malware Real Time Protection has been turned off - and if I want to start it up again, click a box within the message."

After clicking the message, the entire message will disappear but will re-turn again when the computer downloads something else or until I click the "X" box - top right hand corner of the message box.

I have tried to go thru the settings to correct this, but have not been able to locate a setting that will affect this.  The license is current.

Thank you,

Hi Nancy:

I don't think it would matter if the battery was low or not because it
always works immediately when connected to its charger and a power
supply. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Hi all:

I downloaded the latest iOS update to my iPad about 30 minutes ago and
it will not start.

I had to download it twice because it told me that there wasn't enough
space the first time I tried. So, I deleted an app I seldom use and I
downloaded it again. Since then, I can't restart my iPad.

I've been told by someone on another list that it might be stuck in
recovery mode and I can only get it out of that mode by connecting it
to a computer with iTunes and by looking for a button that says
restore or something like that. I only have a Linux laptop and the
Windows computers around here don't have iTunes. I may have to wait
until I see my girlfriend this weekend as she has iTunes on her
laptop.

Please note: I connected my iPad to a Windows computer a while ago
just to see what might happen. When I did, I heard that Windows
computer make a sound. Plus, when I disconnected and reconnected the
iPad, and when I turned the iPad off and on, I heard the Windows
computer make a sound. Therefore, I think the iPad is still working.
This is
scaring me! Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Victor

Ah, Now I see what you mean.

Well, from my point of view, Accessibility has been sliding backwards
for several years.

I have voiced this opinion before, and some may disagree, and others
share my point of view.

With a New Standard, and one that doesn't cooperate well with Screen
Readers, this could cause serious cuts in levels of Access in the coming
years.

Guess before I Push the Panic Button, I'll need to wait and see just how
this New Standard manifests itself.

Enis, do you know who is pushing this New Standard the most?

Hi,
when in main window of the program or app whatever they’re calling them these days (smile) go to timelines menu and click on manage. In there you’ll see what is set to show and what is hidden and you can change them as needed to suit you.
I hope that helps.
