when I connect the iPad to a Windows computer and disconnect it, turn

iOS 10.3 update! Help!

Hi all:

I downloaded the latest iOS update to my iPad about 30 minutes ago and
it will not start.

I had to download it twice because it told me that there wasn't enough
space the first time I tried. So, I deleted an app I seldom use and I
downloaded it again. Since then, I can't restart my iPad.

I've been told by someone on another list that it might be stuck in
recovery mode and I can only get it out of that mode by connecting it
to a computer with iTunes and by looking for a button that says
restore or something like that. I only have a Linux laptop and the
Windows computers around here don't have iTunes. I may have to wait
until I see my girlfriend this weekend as she has iTunes on her
laptop.

Please note: I connected my iPad to a Windows computer a while ago
just to see what might happen. When I did, I heard that Windows
computer make a sound. Plus, when I disconnected and reconnected the
iPad, and when I turned the iPad off and on, I heard the Windows
computer make a sound. Therefore, I think the iPad is still working.
This is
scaring me! Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Victor

well the RCA cambio is around $110 with windows 10 home on it. it has 2gigs ram and 32gigs storeage. the hp stream is around $200 with similar specs. the asus transformerBook is i think around $350 or $360 with a bit more power and storeage.

No. There are Android tablets as well, but at this point I think when it
comes to tablets a Windows based device is a better investment. Especially
if you buy a two-in-one with a detachable keyboard.

yes i too recommend a windows tablet as you will have a bit better accessibility than you will with android. that being said I do like my android RCA galileo pro tablet. But if you want to play more advanced games and use regular microsoft office with the nice features of something like jaws or NVDA then go for a windows tablet. maybe an hp stream tablet with 4gigs of ram.

question on reading e-mails

Vicki W

I have a question about reading e-mails from one e-mail program with another e-mail program.

I have hundreds of e-mails saved from Outlook Express, many with links, and I am now thinking of switching to Outlook.

My question is this. Since Outlook Express saved e-mails have a .eml extension, and Outlook e-mails have another extension, will I be able to open, read and access the links, etc., in my saved Outlook Express e-mails with the Outlook program?

Thanks.

You can purchase some Windows based tablets for as little as $140 or less.
For example, see the following RCA tablet running Windows 10 on Amazon.

Of course, these are not the most powerful devices, but it doesn't matter if
you only want it for performing basic tasks such as taking notes, surfing
the web, checking Email, listening to music, and so on. You can also expand
the storage by purchasing a MicroSD card.

No. There are Android tablets as well, but at this point I think when
it comes to tablets a Windows based device is a better investment.
Especially
if you buy a two-in-one with a detachable keyboard.

If that's the case I am not looking for a phone but I do appreciate
it. I will still look in to it.truely appreciate the feed back.

Hi all,

Sugar it sounds like you might be better off getting an Android
tablet and a bluetooth keyboard. Humanware and Hims don't make the
voiceNote or VoiceSense any more.

Hello, an android could be a phone or tablet. Just like in our device could be a phone or tablet. If you got a tablet, and you didn't become fully feel like writing on the touchscreen. For a lot of the different operating systems they have made what is called a Bluetooth cording keyboard. What you could purchase to work with such device. I hope this helps.
