As far as imaging software goes, the best and most accessible I have ever
used is Drive Snapshot. Worth every penny. You can also view contents of
images once backed up.

Hello!
I typed it in the search box in the start menu and all my partitions or
disks were listed.
I have a Surface Pro4 which came with Windows10 from the beginning and
there I find a small UEFI partition and a about 1.88GB backup partition
but I cannot access them to make a copy of the backup partition, I can
access the other drives and change drive letters etc.
I have also another Toshiba that came with Windows8.1 but was upgraded
to 10 and this one has two backup partitions and the Uefi which I also
cannot access and the backup partitions are different sizes I think but
am not sure one is very large.
The question is how can I copy the contents of the backup partition on
the Surface Pro4 that has the original software?
I have the original Toshiba software with Windows8.1 on a usb drive,
the harddrive is 1TB but has these two backup partitions, shall I leave
it like that especially when the creator's update is coming?

Thanks.

Accessible VPN service

Cristóbal

Hello list,

Haven’t paid this topic much thought, but with the recent rollback in ISPN regulations on privacy, I figured it would be something worth familiarizing myself with to perhaps get one for the house.

The sighted wife uses a VPN on her iPad to watch German language content since she’s from over there, but since she doesn’t have to worry about screen readers and whatnot, I thought I’d ask around on these lists to see what other screen readers and users of mobile devices are using?

Free or paid, it doesn’t matter. Nothing overly complicated if possible and something capable of handling an entire house of connectivity or whatever that may entail. Both my wife and I run our businesses from home and have the standard set up. AC duel channel router, Surfboard modem with 300MB down with TWC etc.

In my case, I’m using JFW 18 on both a laptop and desktop. Along with I-devices with VoiceOver.

Any suggestions on a service or in general what I should pay attention to would be appreciated.

Thanks,

To get to the list of search providers do the following:
1. Open IE, press, alt + T, for Tools, & press the letter, A, to open manage add-ons.
2. You'll be in a list of radio buttons, so arrow up / down to, Search Providers, & tab 1 time into the list of search engines / search providers.
3. Arrow up / down to, Google, now do as Carlos stated.

Take care.

You were right.  Tripping people up leads to nothing but broken legs and broken canes.  And, a lot of bad will toward the users of canes.  I always pull my cane up when I come to a stop in a croud.

My canes go 1 to 2 inches above the breast bone but different users have their own preferences.

Cheers,

That is all true and I should have qualified my statement to include the fact that I carry a thin folding cane in my purse which is the longer length. But when I am with a sighted person who is used to guiding me and in an area where there are lots of other people, I use the shorter came primarily to let others know that I have a vision problem. The longer cane is too easy to trip up other people so out of courtesy I use the short cane.

I would never use less than my usual cane whether with sighted people or not.  You are assuming that no unforeseen circumstances will occur that will require you to use your cane for normal travel.  I will never put myself in a position where I can't travel as normal, should I need to for some reason.  My cane is a part of me and essential.  If others think it isn't, or discourage me from having it with me, that's their problem.

It would be like a sighted person saying, I never wear my glasses when I am with other people.  They don't do it.  If you don't want to use your cane when walking with someone or if you want to hold it in such a way that it is shorter when you use it under such conditions, that may make sense, depending on circumstances.  But that's different from not having it available.

I know that the length of a white cane is specific to the person using it, but is there a suggested length standard?  (from ground to chin, I  think that I remember  that suggestion from my O and M classes).

Is that what standard you all use?  I know that some people prefer longer white canes, but I want to kind of have a standard and then work from there.

Re: how long should a white cane be?

They used to say up to your breast bone, but most of us blind people feel that it is too short.  The Lighthouse used to try to tell us that when we would go to buy a cane, we had to have it measured up to there.  A good mobility instructor told me that, when they were first developing cane techniques, they decided on that, simply because it was a measurable part on everybody’s body, and nothing more.  George and I would always tell the people who wanted us to have canes like that, that we were the ones using the cane, so we knew what we needed.  Thankfully, I have not had a person try that on me in about twenty or thirty years, now.  Pam.

There's a 30-day demo version, but you can only convert 10 messages at a

I know that EML messages are basically text, and one can view them by changing the extension.  However, there is so much header info which needs to be gotten rid of, so I was hoping to find some utility which could batch convert a large number of EML messages to text.  Is there such a thing?

Incidentally, my thanks to all who answered my recent question about moving a large number of EML messages in thunderbird.
