Hi Beth,

Just wondering, what's wrong with your BN? PS. I started with an mpower running 7.5, I will never forget that thing. After that, I got an apex (which I still have) and I'm now on a braille sense u2. Although, I do want something mainstream. But then again, I don't regret note takers, they are the best thing to carry around in school. And they give full privacy, at all times.

I cannot remember when the first laptop was invented, I think I was born at that time. But I do remember seeing in a blurb online that it had a tape deck, a floppy disc drive, a printer of all things. Imagine carrying that big old clunker around. lol But my tech geek history goes back, about to 95 for Windows and then some. But my real exposure to computers began with Apple and Echo. Remember?

introduction, and hey to all new members
Beth
Hello. My name is Beth. I live in Denver, Colorado. I have been an avid tech geek for as long as I can remember. Anyone remember Windows 95? When that thing came out, my dad bought the family our first computer, but JAWS was not so advanced. Laptops were bulky, and remember when the first one was invented? I cannot remember when the first laptop was invented, I think I was born at that time. But I do remember seeing in a blurb online that it had a tape deck, a floppy disc drive, a printer of all things. Imagine carrying that big old clunker around. lol But my tech geek history goes back, about to 95 for Windows and then some. But my real exposure to computers began with Apple and Echo. Remember?
Does anyone remember also some of the games from back then? Space invaders? Oh God, I can barely remember anything else. Also, I had a whole history with JAWS and work related computing written in my blog. The URL of that blog is in the signature at the bottom. Also, all contacts are at the bottom. So yall are welcome to contact me with any questions. My current tech consists of the Asus laptop I"m renting, Comcast accessible TV box, which has made me break the bank. Ugh. And I also use a BrailleNote when it is not flat. Ugh. I may have to wait a month to get that fixed unless I can pay with a Visa gift card. Also, I have a $209 cable/internet/phone bill. But Comcast can't get a triple promo going, so yeah I'm stuck paying big bucks for the stuff that people think is a luxury. Well, if yo looked at my building, you would be using tech to secure the door, so I have to in turn secure my apartment. What we do is you walk in the outer door, type in a code given to you by the resident and then the resident picks up his/her phone and then hits 9 and boom, you're in. That's all the tech I use. I also have an Android phone, which qualifies as high tech as well. Anyway, before I write the Great American Novel, I will close with a thank you Carlos for inviting me to this group. Yall can contact me on or off the group. Thanks. Hi,

HMM. I still prefer mailman lists, to find out the membership. So for example: example-request@ultargroups.us You would put your membership password, something like: who example. The list will return all the members, and their email to you, assuming, the admins didn't block it. I wish this list had such an option, though, I don't think it has. If anyone's interested, groups.io has a feedback group kind of thing. To join, email: beta+subscribe@groups.io I did point out a few errors, Mark helped me before. Hope this helps someone. LOL, the best thing I pointed out was unsubcribe, instead of unsubscribe, when you left a list. Its fixed now, but it was amusing.

Carlos, When I was reading the invitation message, I clicked on the “I accept” link which took me to this groups web page, that it was where I read there are 29 members on the list.

LOL I didn't even realize members could see that information. As for potential causes for the file system displaying incorrect free space, take a look at this Microsoft article. ----- Original Message -----

Although I should have clarified that this is
sometimes a problem with the file system so you might want to check the disk for
errors under it's properties on the "Tools" tab.

Hello from a new member
Rajmund <brajmund2000@...>
Hi,
Just wanted to say hello, and that I'm here. I'm happy to answer anything note taker related, though, my interests go beyond note takers. But, only note takers are the things that I have access to. Oh, most of you will know me, already. I always join the drama on lists, if I can. Rajmund Sent from a Braille Sense

I remember some time ago discussing a bug in
Windows which prevents free space from being allocated, but I don't recall the
specifics at the moment. I will research a bit and get back to you if I
find anything useful.

So, the real subject is Windirstat.
I have downloaded the little monster, about 450 kb.
I have done all the obvious thing to clear up space on my little s s d drive. As I said earlyir, the big items on this drive are win 7, office2013, a couple o c r programs and a few utilities like adobe p d f, revo, 7-zip, etc.. I have done all the obviouse including disk cleanup, emptied temp, recycle, and download folders.
So what will dindirstat show me?

You're coming through fine and welcome to the list. The list is not only for those who contribute, but also for those who simply want to learn so no worries. And everyone has something to contribute at some point.

Thanks for this new list and for the invite. Don't really contribute much in the way of help as don't feel that knowledgeable, but if there ever is something I know about I will definitely jump in. Just thought would test to make sure my messages are coming through ok. If you don't receive an immediate response, I hope you don't give up on the list too soon. As of now we only have 20 members, but hopefully the number will increase over the next week or so.
